  • yes, such a great song

  • On of my favorite songs from the 1993 album.

  • Warren Cuccurullo cannot be given enough credit for what he did to resurrect this band in the early 90s.

  • great song by duran duran love it :)

  • @coolblk yes this song rocks:)

  • I'm glad I saw them in 1993, hearing the song live was just great!

  • Thumbs up if you have Duran Duran on your ipod!!!!!

  • Well I guess I know where Katy Perry, Gaga, Nicki Minaj get there inspiration for hair color!!! I'm pretty sure Madonna didn't take this route! :)

  • @shecorona I'll cop to having totally stolen Nick's purple hair idea once upon a time. I've been toying with doing it again too.

  • great song .. i love it and i love duran ..

  • The Clockwork Duran.

  • Jesus Jones-y

  • We've covered all the angles the survey people say... Just put us on the cover we'd be smiling anyway... this video was made with love for you!

  • Nice PRODUCTION!

  • Who's better guitar player warren or andy?? I think warren is great!!! Andy is not a great! Warren got style in his riff and solos, andy doesnt have a style :/

  • What a great guitar solo!!!! Warren saves duran duran with his guitar style

  • Clearest audio & video! Thanks for uploading this!

  • This is one of their greatest. It would be lovely for them to include this in a set list or two on the upcoming legs of the AYNIN tour now that Simon's fully recuperated . . .

  • Facial recognizion face book the enemy . They have way TOO much information.

  • I think the fact that they,in essecnce, dissed MTV in that song was a probable reason it do as well as its predecessors did.

    Just a thought!

  • this is what pop's meant to be!

  • S U P E R !!!

  • This is my all time fav Duran Duran song, too bad it wasn't included on the Greatest CD or the DVD,now the thing I don't get is that they left that video off,but yet they had videos for The Chauffeur(which I'd never heard of or even seen till the DVD)and Electric Barbarella(from an album that has been called one of their worst and a song that's in the same category),but they left Too Much Information out,a video and song that was more relevant than the other 2 put together,I don't get that?

  • @Colin0513 I think The Chauffeur is their very best song, but I don't like this one much. To each his own, I guess.

  • @MissPsychoFreak I graduated in 2006 and was also the weird kid in school bombing around to DD. But the good news is not caring in the end only added to my coolness. I was actually more respected for being the new romantic anachronism band kid than I would have been otherwise. I still love my chosen 80's lifestyle.

  • @MissPsychoFreak I graduated almost 20 years ago, and was one of the only people who liked this band when I was in high school!!! Everyone thought I was crazy to like an "80's" band. I am glad that the newer generation appreciates this band, Try as I might, by daughters (13 and 11) refuse to listen.

  • @brbgal Yea im that crazy prsn in school now.........but its a great thing:) They r the 1s missing out on such great music......2 bad 4 them:/ O thats 2 bad ur daughters wont listen 2 them:) Do they think that they r cute or anything? cuz i <3 Nick&Andy they r HOT.....o & Arcadia was really good 2:)...........was iss like ur #1 song by DD?

  • @MissPsychoFreak but how about being a guy on his harley your friends come over and i put on sekret oktober

  • Comment removed

  • My sister used to like Duran Duran back in the '80s. I must say they didn't do much for me. Their sound just didn't appeal to me. I was more of a Spandau Ballet fan.

  • love the colorful wardrobe choices

  • @MissPsychoFreak I love Friends of Mine, in some ways I interpret it like skizophren song XD. I'm the only person who still likes them....*sigh* I'm sorry for that.

  • @billntom4ever O ur not the guy??????? Alex????? im sooooo sorreeeeee!!!!! ok then XD but how do i get 2 him???? What is his channel? He's insanely HOT!!!!! Really John? idk i just c ANDY ALL OVER :) DD is my favorite band & that's the way I like it :)

  • @MissPsychoFreak Nope, though people mistake me for him in actuality. It's quite alright, but he hasn't a channel. The only way to "get" to him is attend a concert, they always do fan parties afterwards. Other than that, there's no way. ^_^ So only to see more you'd have to Google him haha.

Yea I thought so, maybe it's just the accent...that's cool.

  • Good song, and a damn good album too...Duran Duran are eternal, as their songs transcend time.

  • @MissPsychoFreak I know what that's like, all the kids you tell say "I like one DD song" and it's usually the popular ones. :P It's really really sad, 'cause songs like this are an epic win! They also make fun of you and call you "old" haha, but it's all good. I wish you well with your high school years, and keep rockin' with Duran Duran, they're the best you could have. Nick & Andy? hehe, I've never enjoyed Andy's presence much (maybe for him leaving). I do like all the others a lot though.

  • @billntom4ever Thanks :) I'm :) u agree. it's true some people i know r 2 buzy listening 2 Justin Beiber >:( ewwwwww i would rather b old then listen 2 that little thing :) doesn't it just like bother u if some1 says something stupid about them? it drives me insane----------but im already insane ;)

  • @MissPsychoFreak Ugh, me too. >__O Yes, or they say you're weird for liking older men.

haha "if I had a car I'd drive it....insane" I'm crazy too, but hey, aren't we all?

  • People with no creativity will probably say the following:

It's now (Current Year) and this song would still rock if it was released today.

    Or

(Number of Dislikes) People couldn't handle all the information.

  • WELL NOW IT'S 2011 AND THIS SONG DOES STILL ROCK!!!

  • Incredibly underrated song.

This video, was made with love for you!

  • This song was so far ahead of it's time!

  • great !

  • I love Duran Duran! Best wishes from Ukraine!

  • love this

  • Omg, Nick that purple hair...wow.

  • im one of the only 2 kids in my high school who actually love duran duran! everyone else listens to crap--well except for some fellow kids devoted a musical future.

  • @mickymicky0 Lol i must be the other 1!

  • Great song!

  • I have been a fan since 84, and somehow this is one of thier better videos. Maybe its because it could be used today. Anyway, Simon is in his 30's in this video and still bleeding Duran. You have to give it to him.

  • I'm in agreement with emeraldstream.

Which came first, this song or our saying of "TMI"?

    DD forever!

  • Great DD song! Can they do nothing wrong????

  • @SBbooboo This band is perfect. Just don't scratch the surface. ;-D

  • This video must have cost a lot of money to make.

  • great band.. awesome

  • I love this song!!! If you like the clips of Simon topless, there is an entire video of DD in Turkey doing this song and it is YUMMY!

  • Dilute your mind...dilute your mind... Master video, master track "F" ing master song that schould have been a hit for the charts! Still.... diluting my mind (yes after all those years...) cause there's to much information for me....! Thanks for posting! Love this song and the video!

  • One of my favorite songs without all original members. The video is kick ass and how did I not notice what AWESOME ripped shape Simon was in then! Yowza!

  • duran duran was spraypainted on our school when i was a kid lol

  • I've had the title of this song screaming inside my head, for many years. I knew it was Duran Duran, but I did not know whether or not Too Much Information was the title. Thanks YouTube, for helping me identify the song. :)

  • brilliant song :) :)

  • The videos for Ordinary World and Come Undone used to play on MTV all of the time. I never understood why they never played this one. It was a great song, cool video and the fellows (especially Simon, John & Warren) looked sexy as hell.

  • @movieluver81

I never understood why this was never a single!

  • @ma7799 It was actually released as the third single off this album, making it to #45 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the U.S. Not as popular as Ordinary World or Come Undone, but it was given a formal release (hence the video).

  • @trevgreg2 Yes you are correct on that and the reason why it wasn't as popular as the other 2 singles was due to the fact that it wasn't in the same ballady vein as the ones before it,it was a total departure in that it was a rock song and the fans who had gotten used to the ballady stuff couldn't handle it!

  • Destroyed by Internet

    I hate to say the,,,

Now MTV, ABC and BBC are tiny in comparrison with Internet

  • .....this video was made with love for you

  • Damn! Nick and Simon are just too hot in this video! Whoo! Awesome song btw.

  • okay, i play this song for my dad 'cause its so effin' awesome, and he's like , what band is that. i said, duran duran. first thing he says? "oh, they're so old."

    im 15 years old.

it kinda sucks when your dad tells you that :/

  • @ScarlettStar92 Ignore him! It makes no difference how old someone is. If they have talent and style, then that is all that matters. And it doesn't make any difference what year a song is made. So what if this was recorded before you were born. I love a lot of great music that came before me. My second fave group is the Doors. And who doesn't love the Beatles? I love when people are open to all music from the time they are young. I always have been since I was a little kid.

  • @MissNovemberTuesday lol i think he was joking. but still, he's not my biggest problem. it's the people i go to school with. i just turned sixteen. kids my age dont listen to duran duran, and heeey -- the doors are one of my FAVOURITE bands -- and i get so much shit for it. it pisses me off sometimes but, hey, THEY'RE missing out on good music, not me. so really, sucks for them. i'll keep enjoying the good stuff.

  • his name is JOHN Taylor not James Taylor ROFLMAO

  • great song from the wedding album i dont know why this didnt chart in atleast the top 10, i guess due it being too diverse from ordinary world & come undone.

  • duran duran is the coolest bands. gotta love there rock n rave look here

  • This song... will always be... FIRE!

  • This song is so underrated.

  • What a roller-coaster ride of a video. You see something new with every viewing. Long live DuranDuran!

  • Pay atention on lyrics! still same things as 17 years ago...

  • @limunzut Except it is WORSE now. Everything is worse now, from the standpoint of the industry and the corporate bull that is choking the life out of everything. I just know I am looking forward to Record Store Day. Support your local stores and buy Duran Duran's Girl Panic! They can be cutting edge on the internet and STILL have an appreciation for what has come before.

  • I agree. This song sounds as fresh today as the day it was released. Amazing stuff. The Wedding album, to be fair, had a lot of filler, but the three first singles (this being the third) kicked major ass.

  • @MetalGearHolic i agree look at shotgun for arguments sake, it goes for a whole 45 seconds doesnt it ? :)

  • why are u here if u bash?

  • Anything xtian usually sucks... Oh and I think Simon's an atheist... or atleast against organized religion: " God created the world and then created the devil, to blame for his mistakes."

  • The lyrics to this song is STILL true to this day. Don't trust mainstream media.

  • Pop music sucks nowadays. I'm 15 and THIS is what I want to hear! :D

  • @xCheezyNoodlesx me too!!

  • A Christian parody of this song should be made -- "Too Much Misinformation"

  • way, way, way ahead of its time.

If released today, would be *H*U*G*E*

  • ahh the wedding album - probably the greatest comeback album ever! just when everyone wrote off duran duran they came back with gems like this! fantastic

  • nick looks gay with purple hair

  • @littlemisspink12 Nick looks gay anyway cause of his make up, FYI he is not! Just a trick to get gay's to like DD as well i think.........

  • @heksje69 Nick is who he is and makes no apologies for loving things to be beautiful, including the MANY women he is with. No tricks are needed to get gay guys to like the band. It is a bunch of gorgeous guys who make great music. What more could you possibly want?

  • Este grupo me parece espectacular, no pasa el tiempo sin que no sepan adaptarse a las nuevas tecnologias. Es una lección de saber estar

  • Great song, great band!

  • rubbish.

  • Dilate your mind.

  • with love from me to you....

    great song!

  • kozak ;D nice nice xpp

  • i love duran duran ´s music ,by the way, nick rhodes always play the keyboards in the same way hahahaha lol

  • Good!!!

  • MTV doesn't play music videos anymore. Not for 10 years or so actually.. its just a pigheaded reality channel.

  • Has this recently been re-uploaded with better sound quality? If so, nice work!

  • Brillant video, great song!

  • It is more and more actually problem of today

sometimes i feel like my brain melt-down :-)

  • this song is excellent. loved this whole cd..and medezzaland (sp)

  • Song is annoying but I love their look in this. Loved the hair colour on Nick and John too. I just dont like the song because back in the day MTV ran this video into the ground. I couldnt take it any more. But nice visual.

  • a shame that this song and vid isn't included in CD and DVD compilations

  • I totally agree mrj - this video is so relevant to the times then, and moreso now. And it's too much information for me too. That's why I don't watch TV - only movies on satellite...

  • if duran duran kept the same songwriting style they had with "come undone" they would still be big right now.

  • This song is more relevant today than it was..err ..yesterday. "The pressures on the screen to sell you things that you dont need. It's too much information for me", totally agree with you Si and the other fellas of DD, that's Duran Duran I'm referring to and not the Dungeons n Dragons fraternity who I have no affinity with whatsoever. Thank you.

  • i agree with you because then in 1993 ( ?)

    the song was soo underrated

and it wasnt played on mtv or any music channels then

but if you take a look at the world today with the politics etc you see the relevance of this song

  • Yes, from an Italian musician... too much information destroy ourself!

    See u!

  • Yet another 90's song that holds up well.

It's too bad this wasn't a smash hit in America. MTV played it a lil' bit for awhile, but it never got the heavy rotation that the first two ballad singles got. Then again, this song is much more spiky, quirky, and European...Americans require simplicity.

  • Ummm... The first line is "Destroyed by MTV" LOL!

  • too much FALSE information!

  • My God, it's 2009 and this song would still rock if it was released today.

  • Now in 2009, shit music is on the top! Shame.

  • @SongSketchDotCom TOtally...

  • @SongSketchDotCom 2010. still.

  • @SongSketchDotCom I said the exact same thing--and considering it was a 90s release, it was prophetic--it became even more true and relevant today. Music: awesome.

  • @emeraldstream I could not agree more with you and Emeraldstream. Mustic today is so friggin mashed together, it's like, let's put a bunch of stuff together and see what we can make of it, instead of creating something special. I feel bad for today's youth because they don't realize how so ahead of their time Duran Duran was. This song still kicks @ss

  • Kind of prophetic in a way when you think about it.

  • FANTASTIC

    I LOVE IT LOVE IT

  • How this did not follow Oridnary world to the upper reaches of the charts (it barely cracked the top 50, I believe) is beyond me...what a kickass song. It was like their answer to ZOO TV...I always loved it when they occasionally accepted that they are in fact a rock band (as anyone who's seen them live can attest).

  • Because Duran's always been ahead of their time. TMI wasn't appreciated back then by the general public because of the very reason parkdad said. It was like a harbinger of the culture of the new millenium. If it had been released now, people would see it as a cynical response to the media, etc. and call them douchebags.

BTW, Nick with pink hair?! OMFG!!!!!

  • Yeah, one of my favorite parts is the "dilate your mind" section w/ the strobing between Nick and John, the founding members, best buddies, and owners of the coolest looking hair in the band!

  • It's John with the crazy reddish pink hair. FYI JT is bass, Nick is synthesizers. Just sayin'....

  • I realized it after I posted. I'm a huge Nick fan, but for some reason I keep thinking he has pink hair in this video.

  • he does have purple hair in this video, i know because this is the same year they got the star on the walk of fame, and his hair was purple there too.

  • Yes, I know he does. If I knew this would turn into an international incident, I wouldn't have said anything. Sheesh!

  • alright, alright

    ease up

  • Ludovico

  • this song is fucking amazing.

  • yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeha! Rock on!

  • It is amazing that this was written in 1993 just a few years before the World Wide Web explosion. Now you can't turn around without someone screaming for you attention and trying to shock you with the craziest story.

  • one of there best, the music and gobsmacking lyrics

  • Awesome! Rock on! Destroy my MTV!

  • The alter ego of Duran Duran?

Too bad they did'nt produce more songs of this genre....

  • ha, gotta watch this vid for class and then answer some questions about it. WOOH!

  • I love your teacher!

  • Excelente video y canción, una de las mejores bandas pop!

  • Now this is one of Duran Duran's best rock songs!!!

  • good call, this and medezzaland LP were their best shit, me thinks.

  • Great song! Better band!

  • FUCK YEAH THIS WAS ONE OF THEIR BEST ALBUMS!! there are a few others before this one, but i love that duran duran still has the ability to out out an album that the WHOLE ALBUM is fucking awesome, and not an album where maybe 3 or 4 songs out of 10 or 12 songs are even good, and of those 3 or 4, only 1 or 2 are big hits. this album was on the billboard charts as one of the best HIT ALBUMS of 1995 - 1997..2 YEARS!! THATS AMAZING?! now a days, people are popular for about 15 minutes. thats it!

  • What a great album... God I love them.

  • very good song

  • what the heck are they wearing??

  • If you saw the movie "A Clockwork Orange" you'll notice Simon is recreating the "Ludovico Technique" here...being strapped down to a chair w/ electrodes attached to him.

  • It's so creative and yes I agree that their poking fun of the media who were a main vehicle to their popularity is quite ironic.

You learn to live when you can laugh at yourself too!

  • The discussion here is so ironic! To wit: Duran were one of the most commercially pimped bands a mere decade before this song was released, now here they are bitching about commercialism (shaking head). Discuss.

    P.S. I love this song.

  • It is their equivalent of George Michaels' "Freedom '90"...a serious yet tongue in cheek skewering of what they were built upon to some extent...they are biting the hand that feeds them, but with a legitimate beef, especially in the case of MTV, which used them when it benefited it's own interests, and then tossed them aside when they needed it's support most (late '80s). It is fantastic for the very reason that it is ironic...it's their ZOO TV!

  • Totally.

  • Good points!

  • Totally agree!

  • i agree, absolutely

  • @Tre404 Hence the line about not wanting to bite the hand that feeds.

  • @MissNovemberTuesday ....yes, but the fact remains that they were bitching about their overexposure. Regardless. Your name is awesome, by the way. :)

  • @Tre404 Why, thank you, my dear! *takes dramatic bow with lots of flair* ;-P

  • This song is very relevant about commercialism, and how they sell things.Love Si's pink vest and silver pants!!

  • Wonderful song...

Why are Duran Duran so underrated?

  • Probably because of songs like this.

They rebel and speak out against mass media and commercialism and anybody who does so in the music business is blacklisted by the mass media and are therefore underrated

  • Great Song , ! great Band !

    Thanks,

  • Great song,is amazing!!!

  • This is such an amazing song. It should've gone to number 1 all over the world. It was truly ahead of its time. Its message is so relevant.
