I find it interesting how the last princess before Ariel was Sleeping Beauty and that was 40ish years prior. Still, this is amazing and all of them look like the princess they played the voice of in someway. It's amazing. Thanks for sharing this with us!

What I think is that the women of the speaking/singing voices of the "old" Disney princesses such as Snow White, Cinderella and Aurora are already looking much like the Disney princesses! They do not need any "Live Action Reference Models" for them!!! And what I don't understand is why they choose different voices for speaking AND singing for the later princesses .... such as Mulan or Jasmine!

Nevertheless: thank you for the great video! It was fun to watch it! :)♥

I serioulsy can't decide. They've all become so perfectly iconic for their characters....I'd have to say that Paige's rich, silken timbre is addictive, but Jodi's voice is so whimsical, hopeful and absolutely beautiful all around. I think Judy Kuhn has the most power, though...her range and power floors. But...off course, Lea Salonga soars. <3

The voice actors for the princesses are all so pretty, almost as pretty as the voices that come out of them! And a lot of them, especially Irene and Ilene look a lot like the characters they voice. And their names suit the characters too! The vocalists are certainly very well chosen :D

In an interview, Ilene Woods (Cinderella) said the thing she liked most about voicing Cinderella was that children will still be able to hear her voice, even when she's gone. She's gone now (at age 87), and the children still hear her voice.

These women, or people, were dressed up and had to perform tasks such as dancing, etc. to help give the animators accuracy when they had to animate the characters movements. Hope that helps :)

It's so funny that Sherri did the live action reference for two princesses but she never liked girly princess cartoon characters and she produced, written, and voice acted for WB's cartoons like Tiny Toons for Babs and Animanicas for Dot and Slappy.
