But Therion makes good music (it is one of my favourite bands) I really like their old stuff. But I like the new stuff aswell like Deggial and Secret of the Runes etc.. But I think the new stuff isn't that bad. It is different but I like it. I listen it sometimes and that is enough but I agree it is different like every album of Therion.

I used to think it was too bad they exited death metal so early, but no good death metal band came up with a striking 3rd death metal album full of new ideas different from their early works.

Now I am thinking it has been better they left death metal era so early, and left these two great albums which you can listen over and over and you can still find new ideas in it without never getting bored.

Therion's these two albums, "Of Darkness" and "Beyond Sanctorum" are true epic masterpieces. Beyond Sanctorum is slightly better and more mature, and it certainly is in top 10 best death metal albums ever.

Not only they are very talented in any means, but also they have a high understanding of aesthetics leading to a unique band that can come up with complicated but harmonious riffing at the same time making them Sweden's best death metal band.
