@Jake504 There is no hip hop in this song but this is certainly a jazz riff, bud, especially considering the escalating progression of the chorus, a la the 1950's. Oh, and a dominant 7th is a blues/jazz chord. Noose of Jah, Lizard State, Broke, and some others contain hiphop rhythms and cadence. Rock Bottom is absolutely astonishing considering his age and the chord composition, he uses jazz progressions but delays resolution for an awkward number of measures.
