at 1:12 when it really picks up it reminds me of somethin outta Rules Of Attraction if anyones ever seen that? i remember it came out the same year as Deus Ex
Goddamn, I can go on on how much this song truly kicks. It's got enough heart to be featured in an SNES Nintendo title, a good enough sound to please clubgoers and Stylas, and enough "wakka-choo-wakka" for a stripper to shake her ass to. Can't think of many other video game songs that amalgamate such fucking awesomeness so effectively.
I played and completed this game for the first time last week and....it's already one of my favourite games of all time! I have just bought Portal 2 and it is still unopened because a couple of days ago I started a second playthrough of this! I hope I have just put to rest how timeless and amazing this game is. I can't believe it passed me by all those years ago! "You can have this beer." "That one's warm, get me one from the bar!"
Ahh fantastic song and game! Everyone that has played through Deus ex has shared the same great experience :) i'm sad they haven't made a game that can challenge it since... fingers crossed for #3!
lool, that bum is in the club, memories, deus ex human revolution needs good soundtracks, no game can beat the first deus ex, the story line to that was just amazing, and whoever is reading this comment agrees.
As long as we don't regen health by standing in a corner with a thumb up your mouth, its should be better than ordinary shooters. Where did health bar and med kit go?
@AmadeusAxoid 9 years old i got stuck on send trans to NSF base took me a year so when decided to upgrade computer instead of using password which never worked for me i got through
@BROLYCURLYable when i was 8 i got lost in Hong Kong lol, airfield was pretty tough as well. i never used passwords, i always used the computer skill.
@AmadeusAxoid Airfield was fun and easy for me and Hong kong was great to explore, never got lost but i see what you mean it was vast. And that Airfield i remember trying to get to the other but got stuck XD but lucky i saved it, and at that time i never known how to save more than one file.. The is a gate with another airfield in site, i used crates to climb over and it was hard. In Return to Unatco if you manage to climb out which is very tricky you will see a NSF thug around Liberty Island
I rember backpacking through europe with the Soundtracks to Both Desu Ex games. This is by all my favourite track. Despite there being some really great games out there with amazing graphics, somehow I cant quit put my finger on it but none of them compare to the soul of this game.
OMG THIS IS TI!!!!! AGH I'VE BEEN THINKIN ABOUT THAT BEAT EVER SINCE I PLAYED. sorry guys i'm obssessed with music if i hear somethin i like i gotta hunt it down. 3 years late.r. FINALLY!
Man, I want to be JC and live in the Deus Ex world. Real life is so boring. I want to have a good time at the bar getting drunk and shooting people in the face. I want to go the Rucky Money and dance with hot chicks and then kill Triad members. I want to toss Maggie Chow's body out a window and watch the chaos below ensue. I want to kill singing bums and kids who beg for food without worrying about consequences.
As soon as they invent completely immersive virtual reality games, give me a call.
I don't think it will be that long until it's actually possible. Look at what's already possible with 3D-Movies. I'm trying not to be a super hardcore sci-fi-nerd, but I'm actually convinced real world will turn out quite like the Matrix, with virtual reality and stuff.
@AmadeusAxoid i kept the game in a folder on a hard drive since i've installed it in 2001. it plays in win 7, but i'm not sure if it will still install.
I just heard it somewhere. I don't actually own the game (though I do want to play it sometime).
I think the WTC towers were left out of the NYC skyline because of system limitations, and then the game explained the reason for there disinclusion was that they were destroyed by terrorists.
I always loved this song make me have good memories of deus ex,when everything in my life was just right.Man I wanna dance to with song with my girlfriend, lol even she loves this song :).
i cant agree more with you right now, back then, there werent as many "Terrorist" based games, maybe CS was the only one. . .oh well, i gotta say, 2000 was the best year ever.
Best Song. I played Invisible war and thought that game was good, just finished the first one and I'am blown away. Best song in the game. Although Hong Kong is close second.
Lol, I can understand the graphics thing. Sometimes when I play modern games, I think.. this graphic is just too good. I can't explain it, not really, but somehow I want a game to look different than reality. Too much details are just annoying. Modern games are like "ok, my characters are shit, but - you can see every single hair on their head!"
i remember killing everyone in the bar, except jock. when i realized a freakin gep gun didnt work i ran straight for the bathroom and into a stall. he found me...
A long time ago I remember getting dx packaged with a video card... but wasn't a gamer so into the drawer it went. About 2 years later I loaded her up for fun.... and it changed my life. Deus Ex is one of the best games ever.A good story, wonderfull synchro, lovely characteres and a really good sounding.I was soo sad when I ve finished it.
Man, I used to love this song. DX1 is by far the best game ever played. I've played it non-stop since like 2003. To this day, I still find new stuff. New hidden areas, new voice overs.. It's just utterly amazing. I hope DX3 is better than 2.
