they do do it in the nrl.
probably the most well known case was wally lewis in state of origin 1985 game 2
its happened quite a few times after that as well.
its not a case of being corrupt.
you can have a good game and still be on the losing team.
lockyer scored two tries and nearly scored another.
i think he deserved it.
