Abortion rights might be the deal breaker in whether or not health care legislation passes. This fight comes to a head this week. Ben Nelson(D) introducing a proposal that would tighten restrictions on coverage for abortions. A ban on coverage for any health plan using federal funds.
And of course the dems are blaming black women for the need to have funded abortions in the HC bill.

Like I said, Abortion was never federally funded. But it has always been spoken out against societally. That's the problem. Its never been a law that abortions be covered under health insurance. While he may be one hell of an orator, there is not much he can do to counteract half of the nation despising him. On the other hand, those chances where he could have made a stand, shown some real strength and leadership, and effectuated some of the change he ran on, he failed on a scale from moderately to catastrophically.

how anyone can connect "letting iran develope nuclear weapons," and "needing to go into Iraq and afgahanistan" is beyond me. The difference between Hitler and Saddam? One had a military to rival the strongest in the world and the other was basically "king of the sandbox" and we just COULDNT STAND FOR THAT. The real peace president would be someone like Ron Paul or Dennis Kucinich. Or even Mike Gravel. But they were ignored and passed over in both primaries for establishment candidates. Make no mistake: Obama is just as Establishment a Dem as Bush was an Establishment Republican. He may be charismatic and articulate, but he has no real "it" factor. When you get past the facade, you realize he just can't do the job. Same as Bush. Oil spill is Obama's Katrina, metaphorically and realistically.

The peace prize has been a joke at least ever since they gave it to Yasser Arafat, although supposedly it was jointly-held by him AND Shimon Peres. But of course, why not just give it to Peres, or no one at all? Arafat was a terrorist-loving asshole. It became even more of a joke when they gave one to Al Gore, for what you ask? MAKING A MOVIE and doing a little activism on global warming. Of course, for it to be a real peace prize, one has to assume the worst alarmist fears about warming.

unemployed aren't educated in fields where they would benefit from being hired on a larger scale. When factoring in how many AA's are unemployed, we have to think about the fact that unemployment checks are given to people who were working in the fast food industry, in maintanence, city parks and services and such. Not many AA's are from backgrounds where Corporate America would look twice at them. So the question isn't 'where are the jobs", it should be, "Where is the education?"

I went to school in a mostly black community, I was 1 of 3 whites in the elementary school, it was the best school I ever went to; homemade lunches and I mean homemade everything, a swimming pool under the gym room floor, and a full theatre with full production for band, plays & glee club performances. Liberals market the notion that it's all everyone else's fault, while gently suggesting passivity. This hoax through media includes contempt of Western ideals, hatred of any who defend them.

FIrst of all I wasn't trying to be foolish . I was stating a fact. Where I grew up, which was not in an Affluent black neighborhood, there were no "Glee Clubs"... Glee clubs only exist in schools where people with money send their children.
We had 'chorus'...male and girl's . There was no glee club. Just like we didn't have cotillions either. We had regular dances. I never said you shouldn't be proud of where you came from. I simply said there are no glee clubs in the ghetto.

Also, I think you're way out of line on the abortion issue. None of you have ever had to pay for abortions. There are no state-funded abortion clinics. THose who go have to find the money any way they can if they want an abortion bad enough. Abortion rights might be the deal breaker in whether or not health care legislation passes. This fight comes to a head this week. Ben Nelson(D) introducing a proposal that would tighten restrictions on coverage for abortions. A ban on coverage for any health plan using federal funds.
And of course the dems are blaming black women for the need to have funded abortions in the HC bill.

The deficit was only $5.7 trillion when CLintion left office. IN the 8 years Bush was in , he added another $3 trillion to the deficit. Obama hasn't added any. daughters who are recieving Special Ed in high school for learning disabilities won't have a chance to walk across the stage to collect their diplomas because they are modifying their learning so much. They won't mainstream them..selling the kids short , instead of picking up the pace and doing what they've earned their degrees for. Encouraging kids to be all they can be. NCLB is a trap in its present form. It needs to be revamped.

Iraqi's should have been left alone...they would have eventually took Saddam out.
