  • dafunkmonster, and the others like her that are so adamant that the earth is flat, will always be unable to understand any issue like climate change. Even a concept of slight complexity will leave them baffled. Their thinking is corrupted by the need to see things in polarities: right or wrong; left or right; good or bad; immediate disaster or no problem at all...

So which is it, dafunkmonster asks: good or bad? Duh!

  • Waiiiiiiit just a doggone minute...

Gore says melting is bad in the beginning of his presentation, then at the end, he's talking about how melting glaciers are good because they provide drinking water for people...

Make up your mind, Gore! Which is it!? For which "crisis" are you supposed to make you rich in order to prevent???

  • The glaciers that Gore references in Peru do provide drinking water by melting... SLOWLY. If they melt too fast they will DISAPPEAR. Get it? Of course not. You will never understand because you think the answer must be either good or bad. Your ability to think is limited and simplistic; and you don't even realize that it's your own fault.

  • Floating ice displaces its own weight in water, so when it melts into water, it occupies that same volume of displaced water, and therefore will not raise the water level at all.

So, worrying about floating sea ice melting is silly. It will have zero impact on ocean levels.

I once did a calculation involving all the world's land-borne ice, glaciers, snowcaps, etc, and calculated out how much, if it all melted, would it add to ocean levels.

I found it to be less than 2 feet.

  • The loss of floating ice WILL:

    1) increase earth temps by additional heat absorption.

    2) disturb ocean currents.

    3) cause species extinctions.

The loss of land-based ice WILL:

    4) increase ocean levels.

    5) cause the rise of the land masses unburdened by ice weight that will also increase ocean levels.

Your amateur estimate of a 2 ft sea level rise WILL:

    6) cause Florida to lose almost 10 percent of its land area, the homes of 1.5 million people, half of its beaches, and two nuclear reactors.

  • Look at his body language. He is touching his face all the time in some way.A pretty clear evidence: > He is nervous and insecure.I wonder why?

  • UpTakeDOWN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • A debate on main norwegian TV this evening a scientist kills some of the 'facts' in this report. Støre, a coo sponsor of this report is just saying 'I'm no scientist' to any critic, and point to 'best scientists' .. Nothing new.

  • I just love how this man groups everyone who doesn't agree with him into the "deniers" group. Maybe is Gore did his own research, he would believe what be blindly speaks of.

  • Oh no! What are we going to do when all the ice melts in 5 years?!

I'm going to find a new place on higher ground. But then roads to the grocery stores might be flooded and the semi trucks loaded with the food won't be able to make deliveries to the store. Oh no!

I'm going to dig a root cellar.

I'll need to start a garden on my new place at the top of the hill and start canning the crops.

I think I'll throw a few dozen bunnies in the woods so they multiply for good hunting later on

  • Liar Liar Liar!

  • fraud FRAUD FRAUD

  • Who ordered you to deny global warming? let me guess, the Fox BS channel?

  • Yep. Every single decenting opinion is all caused by fox news. It couldn't possibly be because some people can think for themselves, and do their own research. Nah, that would be too much work. Must be fox new's fault.

  • For me, it was my conscience and my personal desire to remain free.

What possessed you to advocate handing your rights over to a world government predicated on a false crisis?

  • Holly J_sus, did he just say acidification of the sea? Fuck what will they dream of next?

    BULLSHIT ALARM!

  • Might Global warming bring more rain? Might it open up areas to agriculture that have not been open to it because of current prohibitive climate conditions

All conjecture based on faulty and or tampered computer models made to alarm the herd of people who can't think critically.

Al Gore's solution is to pay tithes to a world governing body and if you can afford to be sinful (ie rich) you pay dispensations to his Holy Climate Church.

  • Greenland was green, duh, the Vikings had colonized the island and had to abandon it.
