  • CAPS LOCK ON CAPS LOCK ON CAPS LOCK ON CAPS LOCK ON CAPS LOCK ON CAPS LOCK ON CAPS LOCK ON CAPS LOCK ON CAPS LOCK ON CAPS LOCK ON CAPS LOCK ON CAPS LOCK ON CAPS LOCK ON CAPS LOCK ON

  • OK, IM SAYING THIS BECAUSE IT TRULLY BREAKS MY BALLS READ SO MANY IDIOTIC COMMENTS OF "THE DEPARTED COPIED INFERNAL AFFAIRS"...MOST OF THE PEOPLE HERE CRYING ABOUT THE DEPARTED WON THE MAIN OSCARS... BUT THEY ONLY KNOWS ABOUT INFERNAL AFFAIRS BECAUSE OF THE DEPARTED SUCCES...INFERNAL AFFAIRS IS A GREAT MOVIE, SO IT IS THE DEPARTED! WHAT DO YOU PEOPLE THINK IT IS A REMAKE? A REMAKE IS A FRESH VERSION WITH NEW ELEMENTS BUT THE MAIN STORY IS BASICALLY THE SAME...IF IT NOT, IT ISENT A REMAKE THEN!

  • @Gaston088able i read you comment in a raging screaming voice.

  • omg I feel so racist I cannot tell the difference between them

  • hi, I'm the directors son

  • I loved this movie and thought the action was really great but my favorite Chinese movies are definitely the ones with Kung Fu that have all the cool choreography. I just saw a great movie that came out on demand called “Films of Fury” and it had some really great fight scenes and movie clips! bitly .com/uBGPir

  • Not sarcasm or being biased.

'I'm a cop' is the best line ever. Think about it. The guy he's saying it to is a corrupt cop.

  • Infernal Affairs is way better than departed, period.

How can someone say it isn't, it's simply unbelievable :)

Andy Lau, Tony Leung, Anthony Wong are simply amazing in here.

Especially Anthong Wong, was badass cool in this movie^^

    Sadly... well sadly.. um nothing^^

    Cheers.

  • @peterthemonkey THE DEPARTED WAS ALSO GREAT, AREMKAE CAN MATCH OR EVEN IMPROVE THE OIRINAL FILM WHY?...THE PLOT WAS IMPROVED BY THE WRITER BUT THE MAIN THING IS THE TOUCH OF A MASTER FILM DIRECTOR LIKE SCORSESE WHO ADD TO THIS STORY REAL HUMAN LAYERS TO HIS CHARACTERS MAKING FEEL WITH INNER CONFLICTS FOR THE DOUBLE IDENTITY THEY ARE HAVING...THE DRAMA SCENES ARE MUCH BETTER AND RICH, THE TONE ALSO WORKS GREAT SETING IN BOSTON....IFERNAL AFFAIRS IS GREAT, BUT ALSO IS THE DEPATED

  • @peterthemonkey IF THE DEPARTED WAS SO BAD..WHY BRINGING UP THEN?? CAN YOU PEOPLE STOP CURSING AND CRYING ABOUT THE DEPARTED...BOTH ARE GREAT AND THE DEPARTED IS FAITHFUL TO THE ORIGINAL VERSION WITH HIS OWN TOUCH....SO IN THAT CASE DAVID FINCHER ALSO COPIED THE SWEDISH VERSION OF THE GIRL WIT THE DRAGOON TATOO...BOTH TRAILER LOOKS SIMILAR BUT I KNOW THAT THE FINCHERS VERSION IT WILL WORK...LIKE THE DEPARTED WORKS!

  • @Gaston088able

    Why bringing it up then?

Because it's all about the money, why not remaking a true masterpiece, which has an excellent storyline, and that is kinda unknown to most of the viewers?

Well....maybe because masterpieces shouldn't be remade, on the other hand you as a director/studio/whatever would lose a lot of money.

So! we take out the chinese, add some action-packed, nudity showing scenes and voila!

    Get some Oscars!

Btw. writing in CAPS doesnt make your arguments more convincing.

  • kik audio out of sync

  • ping sum paow

  • Is there an English dub for this movie? I'm not really sure if foreign language movies can have English dubs or not.

  • @Fanofcartoons1994

yes this movie was dubbed, watch it, it's simply amazing.

    Iam just sayin' ;)

  • i love the departed, but due to my inability to understand any sort of chinese im not sure if ill be able to be really engaged w/ this movie, even if it has subtitles. i may give it a shot though bc itd be cool to see where the movie w/ the original storyline.

  • Tony Leung is the most handsome man in the world !! I'm Italian, and usually I like blonde men, but Tony Leung has a beautiful, witty smile that is irresistible.

  • @estategioiosa When I was young, Tony Leung was the most attractive person in the world. I still think he's the most attractive Asian I've ever seen. He also has the most versatile face for an Asian. I mean he can play a Chinese, Japanese or Vietnamese, he looks the part. If you take Takeshi Kaneshiro (half Japanese-Taiwanese), he wouldn't be able to play a Vietnamese; his face is too Japanese-like.

  • The Departed is my favorite movie of all time so I'm gonna hav 2 watch this 1 som time. Doubt I'll like it as much as the Departed though since I'll have to watch this with subtitles and I'll kno wats goin 2 happen.

  • @sublethalpuppet what's the problem with subtitles? After 10 minutes you forget you're reading them anyway.

  • to be fair, internal affairs is the original, has a good plot and actors but FUCKING POOR DIRECTING.

  • To be fair, Infernal Affairs and The Departed are both great movies. Each had something different to offer. Obviously The Departed is based on Infernal Affairs but it was able to develop into something more than just a remake.

  • holy shit guys so what if one person speak mandarin or cantonese? does it make any difference to the person? im a mandarin speaker bcuz i grew up in beijing, but i deeply respect cantonese as a language... why argue over a language difference? wuts the point?

  • 这部电影很真棒

  • 10 years since this came out, hard to believe

  • I saw "Infernal Affairs" years before I saw "The Departed". I'm not Chinese, but am Asian and I grew up in Canada. I am familiar with both group of actors; I know Andy Lau and Tony Leung since their TVB days and of course who doesn't know Matt Damon and Leonardo DiCaprio? So I can say that I have no bias towards either Hong Kong or Hollywood productions. My opinion on both movies is that they're both overrated. Also I believe "The Departed" won more for Scorsese than for the movie itself.

  • @canuck21 I agree. they are both overatted, neither are masterpiece..

  • Departed = "A movie with Hollywood people! AWESOME!!"

    and

Mou gaan dou = "What?? Its in Chinese, I don't wanna read subtitles! LAME!"

It's a sad world we live in.

  • @aznboi1027 You're even more sad because you're ignorant about the fact that Tony Leung and Andy Lau both received praise from Hollywood stars.

  • @corzylans i was making fun of the idiots that said those things, not me. i love andy lau and tony leung. learn to get what im saying.

  • chinese sure is a wonderful language.

great new take on your normal filming style :D

message to everyone: if you want to develop your chinese skills (cantonese)... /watch?v=7p4M6iJYFa0

  • @81822nathan fuck Cantonese, Mandarin ftw.

  • @ZrulesMusic Fuck Mandarin, that's the language the communists speak. Cantonese sounds way more relaxed.

  • @propainish Again, fuck Cantonese, it is what you arrogant and dickless wannabe free and foreign whores are speaking. Mandarin is spoken and taught as the official Chinese language in the world. Suck on a European dick, and go figure,

  • @propainish I don't care which Chinese their speaking, cantonese or mandarin, I can't understand them anyway. All I can say is that the actors Andy lau and Tony Leung are very good and highly talented. And also : tony Leung is very sexy, handsome. !!! The most handsome man in the world !!

  • triads>irish mob

  • I'm from Switzerland and I love HK and asian movies. Infernal affairs was way better than The Departed. I was really disappointed when I saw The Departed.

  • The Departed took the script of Infernal Affairs-made it shitter-and it wins numerous oscars? I cannot wait until the day when china's blossoming film Industry remakes "classic" American films that sweep awards around the globe; while the USA is struggling to win best foriegn film in Bejing.

  • @TheDefactoAtheist I don't think you'll see your scenario come true in your lifetime.

  • @TheDefactoAtheist THE DEPARTED WAS ALSO GREAT, A REMAKE CAN MATCH OR EVEN IMPROVE THE ORIGINAL FILM. THE PLOT WAS IMPROVED BY THE WRITER BUT THE MAIN THING IS THE TOUCH OF A MASTER FILM DIRECTOR LIKE SCORSESE WHO ADD TO THIS STORY REAL HUMAN LAYERS TO HIS CHARACTERS MAKING FEEL WITH INNER CONFLICTS FOR THE DOUBLE IDENTITY THEY ARE HAVING, THE DRAMA SCENES ARE MUCH BETTER AND RICH, THE TONE ALSO WORKS GREAT SETING IN BOSTON...IFERNAL AFFAIRS IS GREAT, BUT ALSO IS THE DEPATED

  • @TheDefactoAtheist THAT IS A RIDICULOUS ARGUMENT SAYING THE DEPARTED TOOK THE SCRIPT...THE DEPARTED REALLY WORKS AND IT IS TRU FAITHFUL TO THE ORIGINAL VERSION WITH HIS OWN TOUCH!....THE CHARATCER RELATIONSHIPS TRULLY WORKS ON THE DEPARTED ALSO THE WAY THE PLO WAS DIRECTED... WHY SOME PEOPLE CAN DIFERENCE BETWEN A COPY FROM A REMAKE?...STOP CRYING! IT IS STUPID!

  • departed was definately better

  • @ziggystardust3113 its because your white.

  • Come on, somebody upload the whole movie.

  • One of the best movie ever....The Departed is shit.

  • @tojba1983 No I disagree with you on that really I do. The Departed isn't shit. ITS F*CK!!

OMFG they say the F word every 5 seconds. I couldn't even take that movies seriously and guess what I'm an American AND!! I saw the Departed first only cause it won best picture but boy was I disappointed. Later on I saw Infernal Affairs and liked it ALOT!! better.

  • @09tranm You're right man .Look at the second and third part Infernal affairs...AWESOME

  • @tojba1983 saying this is better than the departed is very noob attitude. why would the departed would get the best picture if it's shit??? have you already watched THE DEPARTED?? i've watched the Infernal Affairs 1,2,3 and THE DEPARTED STILL MUCH BETTER IN DIRECTING STYLE!

  • @yopepoy Of course I ve looked THE DEPARTED and he sucks compared to INFERNAL AFFAIRS.It is my opinion,if you think that THE DEPARTED is better that's your problem.

  • @tojba1983 shit, i'm sorry. i forgot were in Internal Affairs video. i can't do anything here. it's all yours. :)

  • @fatsfazoul Miramax Films acquired the United States distribution rights of this film and gave it a limited US theatrical release in 2004.

  • @LogoSpace2 Miramax Stole the name From the 1990 film of the same name.

  • This movie is up there as far as greatest crime films ever made. The Departed ain't got shit on this movie.

  • @CarpayDM88 maybe not but it was still heavily influenced by Scorsese's past films

  • @CarpayDM88 THE DEPARTED WAS ALSO GREAT, AREMKAE CAN MATCH OR EVEN IMPROVE THE OIRINAL FILM WHY? ... THE PLOT WAS IMPROVED BY THE WRITER BUT THE MAIN THING IS THE TOUCH OF A MASTER FILM DIRECTOR LIKE SCORSESE WHO ADD TO THIS STORY REAL HUMAN LAYERS TO HIS CHARACTERS MAKING FEEL WITH INNER CONFLICTS FOR THE DOUBLE IDENTITY THEY ARE HAVING...THE DRAMA SCENES ARE MUCH BETTER AND RICH, THE TONE, ALSO WORKS GREAT SETING IN BOSTON....IFERNAL AFFAIRS IS GREAT, BUT ALSO IS THE DEPATED

  • Was this originally recorder in Mandarin or Cantonese ?

I want to know which version of Chinese I should learn at school

  • @206Nish Cantonese

  • @CarpayDM88

Are all the good movies made in Cantonese? Were the old school Jackie Chan movies made in Cant also?

Does it still make more sense to learn Mandarin at school?

  • @206Nish

I couldn't tell you man. I just know this one is in Cantonese because my homeboy told me and he's from Hong Kong. But my guess is most likely if that helps lol.

  • IA trilogy is a gem has been ignored by lots of "The Departed" fanboys...

  • So much hate. Please its really stupid to argue over which version is better because thats all opinion anyway. You can never prove to someone that one or the other is better.

  • one of the best move ever. (the holywood ramake is not half so good like the original !

  • '... I'm a cop.'

    best line ever!

  • the best scene in this movie is when SP Wong got thrown off the roof. the look on Yan's face was like 'holy shit..there goes my exit'.

  • While this isn't really an action film, more a dual character drama, it's pretty good all the same.

Haven't seen its remake yet - chose to see this first:)

  • So much fucking better than the stupid American version The Departed. Martin Scorsese is a retarded prick who needs to die.

  • America always has to do their version of a good foreign movie or else no American will ever watch it! Amazing bloody grace! Bite my forearms!

  • this has 2 b the greatest HK movie ever...nothing will top this shit up in HK cinemas 4 damm long time xD

  • The Departed IS awesome >=]

  • @col47lc Nah. It isn't. And it is a real shame that of all the films Marty has made throughout the years, it was that stupid, noisy and vulgar remake that got to win an Oscar.

  • @MrMervyn it was a great film dont b a hater.

  • @col47lc I didn't like it. Maybe I shouldn't have watched it so soon after Infernal Affairs movies... But I couldn't avoid comparing the two approaches - and I didn't like what Scorsese did to it. Kudos to him for doing it his way, but I found the result pretty awful and very unconvincing.

  • @MrMervyn the Departed is a 5 star movie. top 5 best movies.

  • @col47lc Let's just agree to disagree and leave it at that. (I'd give it 3/5 at best.)

  • @MrMervyn haha alright sounds good enough to me

  • I really love this movie, I have been watching it since I was a kid mostly because I'm chinese and it's like my family's fave movie ever lol I don't hate the Departed, I thought it was good but just not as good as the original of course. Still Scorsese it one of the best directors in my book :D

  • I saw Infernal Affairs on a movie channel in my area (SuperEcran) and i was like in my seat "awsome movie, why hollywood produced brainless teenager movies than a movie like this one". Then, next year, on the same movie channel, "The Departed" was aired. I like "The Departed" but not as good as "Infernal Affairs". Also, i didnt like the "bizzare love triangle" where Dicaprio and Deamon fought the same woman: that part sucks! Why do Hollywood movies have always to put "triangle love"???

  • martin scorsese is not a bad director at all

  • I loved the movie but seriously this trailer is horrible. Internal Affairs is about tension and anticipation and the trailer wanted to market it as an action film? =) Anyway, see the movie it is excellent!

  • Whats up with all this bashing The Departed, it didn't "steal" anything, Scorsese respectfully asked the filmmakers if he could remake the film. I personally liked them both the same, they have the same plot but the directing and style are completely different. Internal Affairs is smarter and more complex, The Departed is more energetic and entertaining. If it wasn't for The Departed a lot of people wouldn't have even heard of this masterpiece. Stop whining and enjoy BOTH the movies.

  • @bobb328 That is pretty arrogant to say that people would not know of this film if it was not for The Departed.

  • @Nobody72393 I did watch IA before The Departed, but the general population doesn't really watch foreign cinema unless it has been remade or is on HBO.

  • im half white and half chinese..........and i have to say infernal affairs is better than the departed

  • @CHockemany why would it matter that youre half white and half chinese you faggot

i'm english and theyre both awesome

  • @gtroup You're an idiot. Im simply saying that Im neither bias on the white or chinese film. But I think the chinese version is really better

  • @CHockemany I'm a 100% natural born American born and raised and not Chinese. I say Infernal Affairs was alot better than The Departed. I even saw the departed first and boy was I disappointed mainly cause of all the cussing. Later on I saw Infernal Affairs and I'm like WOW this is much better and how it's supposed to be done.

  • @CHockemany I'm not white or Chinese but have to say the Departed is better than Infernal Affairs parts 1-3

  • @CHockemany WHAT! no! The Departed is way better, myabe because im Irish-American buttttt...

  • @CHockemany no it's not.

  • white ppl remake the movie to steal credit off the back of hard working asian. white ppl just cannot stand not being the center of attention so they steal the idea to pass off as there own idea w/ all white ppl so they hog all the spot light agian. they are shameless thief and selfish beyond belief.

  • This is 1000 time better than "The Departed" copycat.

  • They are big names in The West but not in the rest of the world. "The Adventures of Pluto Nash" has big names. Did anyone watch it?

  • Comment removed

  • what a stupid cracker harping on and on about big name. britney spear is a big name go buy her album you stupid greaseball. if you think andy lau and tony leung is nobody then you are even dumber cracker. robert de niro call tony leung the clark gable of asia. you know nothing and you think your ignorance is something to be proud of lol

  • Nobody cares about leonardo di caprio except for "Growing Pain" fans.

  • Wtf are you talking about theres lots of other fans are you retarted have you ever heard of titanic the biggest blockbuster ever! the movie that still holds the record for biggest box office intake. also it was made by a Canadian named James Cameron!!! also hes been in a bunch of other good movies omg!!!!!

  • @TheRocknRollfreak i dont know what else to say about you other than you being one big fail. cause nothing else is going to go past that dumb and thick skull of yours, and dont bother trolling back at me, i am never going to watch this video again, go fuck your cousin or something.

  • @TheRocknRollfreak Have you even seen the movie or are you just talking out of your ass? The reason why The Departed was more appealing to general North American audiences is because the Infernal Affairs has a complicated plot and there's a lot more to the story...so The Departed had to dumb it down for people to get.

  • @TheForgottenFlesh very true.

  • @TheRocknRollfreak u sud wacth this movie first then u can talk shit mate..

  • Agreed.

  • @johnwilson111 You're a retard. "White people" did not steal the story and tried to make it their own; what a load of crap. Plan B Entertainment, a film production company founded by Brad Pitt, Brad Grey, and Jennifer Aniston, acquired the rights for the Hollywood remake fair and square. Hong Kong have copied Hollywood plots for years and I doubt they ever paid a cent. I know since I've seen those "stolen" plots with my very own eyes in various Hong Kong TV series and movies.

  • @rydeiscool9 Oh please, Americans, as usually, destroyed the deeper side of this film. Hongkong version is more emphasised on psychology... and apart from the "lie" topic in Departed, I can't see nothing else there... I won't go into detailes now, it's pointless. Nevertheless Nicholson was pretty good.

  • @rydeiscool9 lol gurl plz

  • you know what your absolutely right!!

  • @rydeiscool9 Agreed.

  • Hey guys check out Grooveshark!! Search for "Infernal Affairs" I uploaded all 3 movies' original soundtrack onto the site so you can go enjoy it anytime.

I think the soundtrack from IFA2 is the best and this makes the second movie just as good as the first. Make sure you check out "1991" =freakin amazing!!!

  • Hmmm can any1 tell me where i can find this movie at? I would totally love to watch it with subtitles. I alrdy saw The Departed, and it was epic. So i want to see how much more epic the original one is. plz and thank you

  • Influenced by "Hard Boiled", 2 of the same characters in Infernal affairs have exactly the same conversation on the roof. Watch the film and see, its cool. i think it pays homage to it.

  • I wonder if they released this film in the US it would have a chance to compete for the Oscars.

  • Hollywood already made their own version based on this one, named The Departed.

  • duh, everyone knows that, but I'm saying if they did like Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, I wonder what would happen then.

  • it looks good, I love music at 00:50, where can I find the ost ?

  • The Departed also ruined THE dramatic scene at the end. The original Infernal Affairs version was way more shocking.

  • lol people think the departed is theorginal movie

  • it really bad for those who really create the original movie

also the speed in oscar said "japanese" movie, indeed this is a chinese movie made purely in HKG

  • ok people, this movie is simply the greatest movie made by chinese.

the departed completely ruined the roof scene in the ned

  • This original one is way better than the remake "the departed". How way? Way Way!

  • the departed may have been a remake but certainly didn't change much. and i can't believe Scorsese won an oscar, he didn't change anything in it, just the culture and the setting really. i found the original much better. the bad guy in this is so badass

  • Yakuza Rock!

  • Best movie & Best Trailer!!

  • 警匪片中的經典之作!!Good!

  • GD!

  • One thing that I like about asian movies is the sex scene are implied. In Hollywood movies, it is sex, sex, sex.

  • かっこいい映画!

    エジソンは残念なことをしたものだ

  • im sorry but this is by far better than the remake...

    those lines were simply classic

  • this was better than The Departed, which stole its story

  • @bboydjoe its called a remake, they asked for permission

  • @TheMeatloaflover yea @bboydjoe is just being a retard

  • @bboydjoe dont be harsh, its not like they didnt giv credit to them for the story. scorsese and the producers even thanked the original writers of internal affairs when they accepted the awards at the oscars.

  • @kunalnair91 Yep. I still like Infernal Affairs more, but Scorcese didn't hide the fact that Departed was inspired from IA. He also corrected the lady announcer who said Departed was based off of a Japanese Movie. Scorcese clearly thanked the "Hong Kong" writers. Thumbs up for Marty

  • @bboydjoe well said!

  • @bboydjoe Creators of The Departed didn't steal the story. They just made an American remake of it.

Anyway, I agree with you that Infernal Affairs is better than The Departed.

  • @bboydjoe

    it didn't steal it.

they publicly announced that they will take the story of 無間道

  • @bboydjoe It's a remake bud, that's not stealing.

  • amazing film..

  • amazing film

  • 良くできた映画だ。

    この映画、大好き!

  • This was an awesome movie!!

  • Tony Leung = Gangsta

  • anyone know the title in vietnamese?

  • what is the song in this trailer

  • Is there an English version? Don't understand Cantonese...

  • there's english subs.. you could watch it on crunchyroll..

  • which song is playing at 0:50 - 1:40?

    it's great!

  • I loved this Movie ^^

I have the whole trilogy on DVD :D

  • This is by far the best movie.. ever. Tony Leung and Lau at their best.

  • this is better than "the departed" of scorsese

  • super agree, cant understand why blooy hollywood wanna make films based on those best foreigner movies, just because they dont speak English...?

Bloody arrogant, I say pure arrogant!

  • Maybe because they don't think Asian guys are hot enough? PFF! That's how America is like.

  • yeh, they wanna remake Oldboy american style. I'd understand if the films were old, or the production values were on a small budget at the time, but this is bullshit! If they don't get sum1 gud like they did for the departed then it's not worth watching.

  • I know they seriously need to leave Oldboy the fuck alone it is a masterpiece of cinema and nothing else can be done to it to improve its value. Justin Lin (the prospect to remake Oldboy) isn't even confident if he is the right person to remake the film. Also it would be hard to stay with the story line as things in the movie are to taboo for an American remake. Lets cross our fingers and hope it gets scrapped to pieces and left in the dirt for good.

  • Agreed... I heard though that Will Smith was supposed to be in the remake... Anyways, it would be a shame to re-do a masterpiece...

  • yeah i agree

  • is this an heroic bloodshed movie??

  • No, It's masterpiece of crime drama. If you like movies like The Heat you will love it.

  • Downloading this movie right now, finishes in 1 hour.

I've seen it before though, but i only saw a part of it.

  • Same, I'm downloading it right now too. I haven't seen any of it before though.
