I thought Easter was about the cross. There is actually no mention of "December 25th" being Jesus' birthday in the bible. December 25th was actually a Roman celebration of their god Mithras, before the Christians hijacked it. But . . .believe what you want ;)

You are correct, December 25th is not the day Jesus was born. More than likely He was born in late February / early March. However, December 25th is the day the whole Christian world celebrates his birthday. The specific day isn't important (we don't necessarily celebrate birthdays in my family on the specific day - we wait for a weekend) - what is important is that we celebrate the birth of Jesus, our Lord and our Saviour

What in the world does that matter to the Creator of the universe? God made all the days. If at some point in the past some ignorant people or even demonized people used the 25th to celebrate something, what does that matter to me giving God glory for sending His Son? Jesus came to die for us. That's why Christmas is about the cross.

I said "If" ignorant or even demonized people used the 25th to celebrate something, what in the world did that have to do with me celebrating Jesus on that day? And I'll tell you the real reason a lot of people are angry at people who worship God: It's because you either serve God or Satan and if you don't serve God, you have anger against those who do. It's as simple as that.

As for how long a religion has been around, the Bible says "In the beginning God," so that's as far back as you can go. This "delusion" that you speak about makes people all over the world angry who refuse to accept Jesus because Jesus was God in the flesh who humbled Himself in order to bring salvation.

The Son of God is not someone to be trivialized. Although He would be the first to forgive you if you asked Him to. I'm not worried about making you angry or trying to appease the anger of those who don't love Jesus. I just would like to see you give Him a chance. He can save you.

@Ginasong This is an interesting discussion, but honestly, this song / movie clip was made to glorify Jesus, for what He did for everyone - He took upon Himself the sin of the world when He willingly went to the cross. He is the only way to salvation. Now, you can believe and accept this and live, or you can disagree and die in your sins - your choice. In any case, if you don't like this video, make one of your own. This one is for Jesus, the only begotten son of God

@Ginasong actually, I was replying to both - basically I don't really want a confrontation over a video - I appreciate you defending Jesus, but I don't really think He needs it - this video was created to touch hearts and to worhip Jesus. Normally comments from people who are being convicted or are still in darkness are simply deleted. Much easier, and allows any others who come to just enjoy the video. Thanks for your concern though - :)

I agree, the ignorance of people certainly is outrageous. Anyone who is a believing Christian knows that the cross is a symbol of what Jesus did for us, taking in our place on the cross, so that through Him we can have life, that like Him we will be raised from the dead, and spend eternity with Him in heaven.
