i think u don't know anything about german history, the songtext of the german national anthem is a phoem written in the 19th century...the nazis (20th century) didn't change anything and now the german are just singing one part of the whole poem.

I work at Citizen's Bank Park so I got to witness this wonderful event last year.

I really hope the Phillies Organization asks the cast of Glee to come back because it was honestly one of the best opening anthems I've see at a game!

Im American and I agree that we take patriotism a little too far. But its understandable because were such a young nation, and we still remember vividly how are country fought for independence. So a lot of Americans feel that the same patriotism shown by Revolutionary War period Colonists is a sign of strength. But it is a bit cocky yeah

In my day we were taught to remove our hat when the National Anthem was played or sung and we remove our hat when the American Flag was presented. We never had to be asked to remove our hat.

This is really good! I'm an Aussie and we sing our national anthem at the start of sports matches and other major events but it never sounds as good as this. I also had to sing it at Monday assemblies at my primary school. Although, whenever we sing our anthem we only sing the 1st verse out of about 5.

@xiikiessister I totally agree with you. I'm a teacher in Canada and I can guarantee that my students probably couldn't sing the Canadian anthem without lyrics. The American anthem, on the other hand, they know perfectly! It's kind of depressing!
