@Vendettare1 Very impressive for a Super Famicom game. The game has a 2D gameplay, but very impressive graphics. You can see some "let's play Clock Tower" videos on YouTube.
i played : Cyber Formula Feda: Emblem of Justice Tactics Ogre Fire Emblem: Seisen no Keifu The Firemen Battle Cross Dragon Ball Z Super Butouden 1 Dragon Ball Z Super Butouden 2 Slam Dunk 2 Kishin Douji Zenki 2: Denei Raib Tales of Phantasia
@YamashitaTsubasa Yeah, but the Votoms game isn't all that good. The LOGH strategy game is fairly nice though, but it requires some Japanese reading ability.
@ReiAyanami06 No way... Sega made games for the SNES? If not, I'll reiterate that the purpose of the video is to show what wasn't released on the SNES. The Genesis doesn't count.
@songoku64 Front Mission was re-released on the DS, and got a domestic port. I have the SFC version and I want to play it before I get the DS version.
@madsketcher Yep! Snoopy Concert was a Japanese-made game and was never released in English. I believe I read that there may be an English translated rom somewhere.
@stevethefishdotnet Very interesting. Kind of like those Japanese commercials with American celebs we never got to see over here (well, until now). I came here to download some roms, and I have picked up a few.... Any specific games from your list that you can recommend? I am not feeling up to reading 200 reviews!
@madsketcher Snoopy is huge in Japan. They have Snoopy Town stores in major cities, and the only Snoopy-dedicated store in the USA I know of is in the American Mall in Minneapolis or at Knotts Berry Farm. As far as recommendations, just research the games that look the most interesting to you. in these videos. Several of these are reviewed on my Super Famicom website (URL is in the description). My site will tell you which games require a Japanese language ability or not.
@Gigastorm123 Um... the game's called Ruin Arm. That's all. Somebody on the shmups forum recommended it, IIRC. Actually, I believe this was one of the few games that wouldn't load up on the Super Wild Card, so I booted it up with the Xbox Zsnes emulator. I couldn't even get past the intro. Every time I pressed START or any other button, it just showed that robot destroying the city. Graphics were beautiful and the music was pretty, so I just recoreded that part. Maybe it had a copy protection?
NUTS! I just found out that Cyber Formula was released domestically as Cyber Spin, with modified graphics to remove the Cyber Formula car and replacing it with a generic-looking race car. Oh well!
A bunch of good games in there. A bunch of little gems in there waiting for me to play. Though I can imagine w/ mahjong games you could do a fair bit of them in a video like this because there are LOADS of mahjong games that never made it to the US.
@ncc1701p Right, I didn't want to focus too much on mahjong games since there are so many of them, but I included both that I own. Suchi Pai is fun because it features character designs by Kenichi Sonoda of Bubblegum Crisis/Gall Force/Gunsmith Cats fame. He's my favorite character designer by far. I don't think -any- mahjong games were ever released domestically for any console. We have Shanghai games, but those only use mahjong tiles and aren't the actual game of mahjong itself.
How amazing is Clock towers graphics?
