  • I saw this film in about 1963.

I love this song and another one called "Live It Up". Coronations Street's Lucille was also in this film and singing too!

  • When kids had talent.

  • The first seconds I thought it was Joe 90 singing.

  • amazing catch! How do you come up with this stuff?

  • best vid ever

  • Old Heinz died a few years back and guess how old he was .... 57 !!!! of course !

  • Have found out my own question. Other guitarist is John Pike, became an actor.

  • Anybody know the name of the other young guitarist playing with David Hemmings. And what happened to him. He seems to be a version of a young Norman Wisdom....lol

  • Yes David Hemmings and SteveMarriott well young. So why does Heinz never look in the camera. Blonde Ponse...

  • one of the wierdest videos I ever saw... what's with the facial expressions?!

  • They look like they're on amphetamines! It's those shit-eating grins I know so well!

  • I know why they look like that to answer bad Comments here:: They are discovering Rock'nRoll by playing !

  • Gayest Video on Youtube..??....Yep...gets my vote..!!

  • Heniz has got that whole Gene Vincent looking into space thing going on. Lets hope Joe Meek was kept away from Steve and the rest of those young lads. Unfortunately Joe could not keep his hands off Heinz's shotgun a few years later.

  • these kids all act like they have had lobotomies

  • bizarro...

  • Marriott looks like Wesley Crusher( a young Will Wheaton) in this.......

  • Bet Steve had to watch out for his deaf and dumb with Heinz about that dirty bastard.

  • @gymnastix Looking at your favourites, I'm sure you get the idea...

  • Lol looks like hes havin a seizure at 0:22

  • Lol just hand the mic to Steve Marriott FFS!

  • @WideEyedGirl1 Yep....and a guitar...

  • Wow! What a classic curio. Superb!

  • Steve Marriott and Ronnie Lane are folklore in 60's music. Sadly, their lives both ended rather tragically, certainly Marriott's in that fire. Ronnie Lane lived his final years in Trinidad, Colorado ~ his fate sealed with a chronic illiness brought on by nothing more than the roll of the dice; a genetic disposition to M.S.

  • Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh!

  • Definitely has a Thunderbirds vibe to it. Steve Marriott and The Marionettes.

  • The camera work is wicked, Alfred Hitchcock must be directing.

  • this video has scared me for life,, i wont be sleeping well tonight,,

  • creepy.

  • All these doods look like they are whackin' off below camera view.

  • This is hilarious. You've got one of rock's all time great singers and talents playing drums while some twinkletoes does the singing. LOL!

  • @ModZeb1967 I was thinking the exact same thing! LOL

  • gosh! this is even more gay than Glee!

  • The singer looks like he's just stepped out of a Gerry Anderson production.

  • @gropingwithastoker ~ Yep, THAT Ronnie Lane. So I guess I'm not gonna get to hear Itchycoo Park here, am I?

  • Where's Ronnie??

  • @MrRonnieG Ronnie Lane? He hadn't yet walked into the guitar store and met the cheeky little clerk who would change his life forever.

  • cool

  • Crackin' footage. Had the priviledge of seeing Heinz before he passed away on his tour of Manchester during the 80's. Pure gent and a real nice guy. RIP.

  • looks like a twilight zone episode to me.

  • Lead singer looks like Billy Idol.

  • Comment removed

  • Is this not from the Be My Guest movie?

  • @gerrabath No, this is from "Live It Up", but I think that "Be My Guest" was sort of a follower up.

  • @SixtiesPopGold I'd love to see that film again last time was when it came out, Wasnt Steve Marriot a messenger on a motorbike in it?

  • @twoslices Well, I must admit that I haven't seen the whole movie.

  • @twoslices It's available on Amazon for under a fiver.

  • Uppers.

  • My pal Phil "Phibber" Munchausen, says "They may well all have been masturbating off camera, there was plenty of group masturbating going on,there was a club in London at the time owned by a Spanish guy called Juan King, his name survives to this day as a slang term for self stimulation.

  • a must see movie for all Meek fans. lots of goodies. Very cheep on Amazon.

  • Wow!!

  • Steve should grab the mic. And SINGGGGGGGGG....

  • The Loud Ties would have smoked these guys (as long as Marriott stayed silent...)

  • So what movie was this then?

  • @Krzyszczynski "Live It Up" (a.k.a. "Sing and Swing").

  • wow.....lol..... what a bunch of strange dudes! i mean the music isnt awful ..... it sounds like normal stuff in a way but my god .... the looks? .... lol

  • Great musician Stevie Marriott on any instrument. This is a 1963 timepiece - was he about to change his tune!

  • Marriott. Such a little cutie. Not too convincing on the kit though.

  • Looks like a scene right out of a David Lynch movie. Creepy as hell.

  • Is that singer John Tracy? The puppet that was stuck up in the satelliet all the time? Or was that Gordon?

  • what's with all the eye rolling?

  • Ha, dang. Really top class cameramanship.

  • Someone call Gerry Anderson. One of his puppets escaped.

  • I think Heinz got a job as a puppet on 'Thunderbirds'.

  • @jimincairns LOL. Heinz would have made a great member of the International Rescue Team. Except that his head was little too small.

  • Was there anything Steve Marriott could NOT do? Such a talented man - sadly missed.

  • Wow is right....That's a very young looking David Hemmings on the left. I saw a photo of him from shortly before he died a number of years ago and couldn't believe how he'd aged.

Watching this I keep hoping Steve Marriott jumps up, knocks the albino out of the way, grabs the mic and starts into Whatca Gonna Do About It. Little did the filmmakers know they had the kid would turn out to be one of the best rock singer of all time in their cast.

  • Steve's adorable here, but the other kids are all downright scary. What was up with that Heinz fellow?

  • Not really sure how they achieve that sound that is so distinctive of Heinz recordings, but I really love it!

  • @1970groupie because , joe meek , was the producer : )

  • Cool, the actor from Blow Up. Great film. But even better...Steve, precious Steve.

  • Why , apart from the drummer Steve ,does it look as if they are all masturbating ??

  • @ModZeb1967 You cracked me up ModZeb1967!

  • @ModZeb1967 When I had this video on YT the last time there was an hilarious comment about the bass player. Watch around 35-43 and 50-53; by the look of his face he must be playing the bass with one hand only. LMAO!

  • @ModZeb1967 LOL I am ROTFLMAO! and why does the singer look like Gwen Stefani LOL

  • @ModZeb1967 joe meek prob had his fist up heinz ass

  • @ModZeb1967 hahahahahahahahahahaha LOL LOL

  • @ModZeb1967 Haha...LMAO....hehehe..

  • @ModZeb1967 Yeah, that's right, I think they shoulda been called the wankers. lol

  • @ModZeb1967 - HILARIOUS!

  • @ModZeb1967 right, those close-ups are freaky deaky
