been tryin to do this for about 17 hours now and i keep gettin the same error when i open flashrec in the astro man. i read your steps and watched this video neither explained why im getting it and both skip this step. you show it after it was recovered just showing the restore point. show me or explain the backup point

@bravo1565 Thats why its because the leaked version may not let you root or it will break root, thats why i told you guys to use the Sprint RUU 1.5 from fresh

But since theres alot of people with this problem i will post a updated video on how to fix that and how to root with-out Flash rec, Not really easy but its better

Thanks for your help! Rooting seemed to go just fine, installed the recovery image, powered off, rebooted, got the boot screen just fine, all looked great. Then after pressing Home I got the dreaded error symbol.

@realill707 LOL Okay what makes android better than iphone is that you can make a back up which we call the nandroid backup you always do a nandroid backup before you do anything. And when you root it, the phone is better faster and looks better put you need a custom rom to do all that which is in my other vid. Soo everything is better when rooting and putting a custom rom on the hero cuz its really customizable.

2. Are you cheking to see if your firmare is patched?

3. Go home, press menu, go 2 settings scrool down until you see " about phone "

from there you scroll down until you see " Build Number "

Yes, With a rooted phone you can customize it up really good. and with a non rooted phone all you get is the same look.

Just instill the.apk Which is FlashRec, & you need to " Flash " the recovery image which is the " 1.5.2 "
