  • “Distraction is the root cause of all of our problems…” very true. Wow, this reminds me of the film My Reincarnation. The way the film creates the tapestry of the relationship of the father and the son and the father to his faith and the son to that faith…awesome bitly . com / uIr2nk

  • Thank you Rinpoche... so helpful

  • Tibetan Buddhism answers a lot of my questions about life which other religion cannot. Now if I wonder why so many people are ignorrant about buddhism despite its undeniable knowledge I now knew its because of people's karmic vision which prevents or allows them what or not what to see.

  • May life of Precious Sogyal Rinpoche be long and stable and all his wishes be fulfilled without hindrances:-)

  • Beautiful video - thank you for sharing!

    -G

  • rinpoche la ,his teaching is very divine complex, yet very simple interpretation of relaxing our's mind and true about our's self. to become true peace.

  • great ,natural ,teacher!

  • thanx , just be

  • it is good

  • that is very good

  • so much cinema !

    come home just quietly !

  • so much cinema !

  • i like that strip/tease..

  • You are unpractical. Just talking .

  • The way I see it, meditation is two things: the furthering of the mind beyond that of the ordinary conscious and the non-violent release of harmful emotions and concepts. Our behavior affects others in ways we can't always understand, and we constantly exchange emotions and feeling with each other. Meditation, in my opinion, is a great way to release anger and other "harmful" emotions without hurting others our yourself. In addition, mediation allows you to reflect on anger and learn from it.

  • i once heard from another rinpoche in sogyal's lineage that we are always meditating, just on the wrong things. meditation is the focusing of the mind. the difference is between useful and helpful meditation, and harmful or useless meditation. you can 'meditate' on how you look, or how badly you want to be famous, or how much you hate a person, or you can meditate on well....knowingness itself, or a yidam diety.

  • when i meditate i see stuff random stuff like my dreams but im wide awake its crazy i stare for hours once i was watching a basketball game and i could hear the ball bouncing

  • kan you pls tell me if god forgive you if you suicide.....

  • @ysergiu Non existent.

  • @ysergiu ... suicide is passing your pain on to others, it does not end your pain it simply changes who gets to carry it.

How can one be forgiven for passing on such pain?

  • Chubby little man isn't he ? Must like that western food a lot.

Great book, The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying, a true spiritual classic.

However, after many many years meditating it must now be said that meditation is just another manipulation of the mind, it's very limiting. Doesn't hurt but can certainly hold one back from realizing reality....in reality !

  • I feel like I have freed myself after listening to you, sir,

  • c est genial,

    merci.

    Live long and prosper

  • nobody need meditation, what people need is no need, we have enough need in our mind. Meditation is just an another need of mind

  • @douglasmacjames but meditation is the way to achieve needlessness. the only way I know.

  • SO IN ONE SENTENCE......MEDITATION IS PAYING ATTENTION TO WHAT IS HAPPENING NOW? RIGHT?

  • @Vegheadsrock meditation is a formal methodlogy of introspection designed to bring about a spiritual epiphany. LIstening to people like this is like listeing to Tiger Woods teach how to hit a golf ball. He makes it look easy. But there are skills you have to develop over time and practice to perfect, then you put them together to make something happen. Get a good teacher and work at it.

  • is eating cookies a form of meditation? sure looks like it...

  • so true!

  • simple....and necessary to hear.

  • Looking forward to see him in September in Switzerland !

  • An inspiring teacher!

  • Rinpoche is Great !!!!

  • ah. my hero, showing me the simple secret :)

  • @TheLotusBlooms there are no secret

  • Calming words well put and ultimately inspiring. Thanks, Peace to us all.

  • good teachings

  • feel so relaxed just listening to this man

  • @whojamuhcallit ME TOO!!!! The way he speaks and presents himself is great to see and listen.

  • wonderful, great service to humanity .

  • I know Meditation made me relaxed, because I ended up getting really tired and I fell asleep lol! and Its a great way to help people go to sleep if they have sleeping problems. Cause It helps me :). It just made me so relaxed. People think Meditation is silly. But It works if you do it the right way. My mind just erased all my thoughts and worry's at that time. And I have only done it once! I am going to start meditating every day. :)

  • @libra557 these are things i think about all the time but i find hearing it repeated allows me truly to clear my mind and relax . i don't know what it is but these videos really help me sleep, certainly something to consider for those who have trouble sleeping.

  • Tashi Delek!

To che j´che for sharing these teachings. Are you comming to Mexico for Sogyal Rinponches´s teachings, on June 30 and July ist.

  • I loved the statemente...." natural streap tease " ,

" cutivate our selves... our selves to discover ,

real, autentic, genuine..becamoe free of our

    selves, much stories, pressure, speed,

many activities ....learning slow down ".

Yaah ... to much pressure...learning be

quiet, just to be with our selves....that's

what I need so much !.

  • This was great!

  • Meditation is awesome. Unfortunately, people seem to bury it in foolish mysticism, dogma, and silliness. There is nothing strange about meditation. People need to stop talking about ENERGY unless they're familiar with chemistry, physics, or redbull.

  • @JoshRom

    Everything is energy.

  • Just by looking him and listening to the way he talks I can tell his in a truly remarkable state of peace that I wish I could just get a fraction of. Great Video I`m learning how to meditate because I`ve just been so stressed lately and Im getting a receding hairline and Im only 17!!! but life is full of great things and I cant wait to see what it has to offer for me.

  • @qwerbugga15

Life has already given you everything it can.

    Meditate on that.

  • I noticed they can laugh like babies... and it's so beautiful.

  • lovely chap =)

  • i read his book of living and dying - awesome.

  • Thanks a lot.

  • His light shines brightly.

  • Namaste Sogyal

Although I am directing this at one being I really am directing it at all consciousness, all being, for the light that exists in Sogyal exists in all of creation.

May you countless souls realize your inner divinity... Remember that you ARE God, you ARE the universe; you are all that is, all that has been, and all that ever will be.

    Once again, Namaste

  • He is ONE with a Budda :) And thouse who understand this teachings can cleary see this.

  • He is the buddhist that have spoken in my kind of words so that i could understand and get my questions answered ^^

  • this is great thanks

  • uncloaked/ dusty road made clear

  • fat monk

  • ZZZzzzzzzzzzzzz.... Zzzzzzzzzz....

  • WONDERFUL...THANKYOU...X

  • He's my favorite teacher, I've watched the vids??? gosh maybe over 100 times. His ability to express the teachings is pure. I think I relate to him so well because I'm a fat, lazy, overindulgent, womanizer also... Thank You for healing me Sogyal & helping me realize my true nature... (I'm serious) Read his book ten times (I did)... it really works, no joke

  • Thank you. I will be back for more.

  • lovely time here, thank you for sharing

  • "abiding by the recognition of our true nature." What i would give to see a world where we all did this, and where no one's true nature was mean, violent, cruel, but only present. What a wonderful teaching we have from The great Rinpoche here.

  • Wonderful. I'm trying to get there.

  • he looks like any other middle-aged man. probably looking like any of our fathers lol. wait, is that a teaching in itself?

  • @aloozer

    Why yes it is, haha!

  • aloozer,

Sorry, I couldn't get the point of your comment.

  • Thank you for posting this video on youtube. There are many Dharma teachings on Youtube, including Tsemtulku who has 214 videos. What Tsem Riinpoche said is very similar to this talk.

May all teachers live long to turn the wheel of Dharma.

  • I always loved Sogyal Rinopche. I always despised him too, largely because I am one of the most bitter and angry people I know.

What I wouldn't give to truly be able to meditate.

  • There is an alternative to meditation that will free you from the thinking that won't meditate as well as the anger and bitterness. First, it requires centering yourself in awareness (using non-meditation tools) and then actively deprogramming the thinking's thought patterns. The thinking learns to follow you through life instead of the other way around.

  • @gloriousbattle I lol'd:D Why not learn? It's never 2 late.

  • @gloriousbattle BREATHE AND IT WILL BE...DEEP BREATHES...

  • I'm also reading the Tibetan book of living and dying (the Spiritual Classic & international bestseller) - everyone should read that book ;-)

    Thank you !

  • Thank you for this great video. I have watched a video Tsem Tulku Rinpoche teaches PROSTRATION. I would like to know if prostration is a Tibetan meditation practice as I always see Tibetan Buddhist doing prostrations. Also, the way to prostrate taught by Tsem Tulku Rinpoche, is it only for Tibetan Buddhism?

  • Yes, it is indeed a Buddhist practice but just in (Tibetan) Diamond Way Buddhism. Go to a Buddhist centre in this tradition, take refuge to an authentic Buddhist Lama and then you can practice this meditation. It's a above all a good preparation for other practices.

  • not very practical, just talking around

  • Dear venerable Sir I watched you action the film of the little Buddha very very fantastic ! May I know is there any new discover new movie about linking of the Little Buddha? Thanks . May all beings be happly and Buddhism spread in the world !!!!

It is a great blessing to have a teacher like Rinpoche

Less comments means less confusions in people's mind. Thats what I see. Anyway lets forgot about these meaningless things and focus on the more important thing which is his Precious teachings. Thanks and good luck
