  • absolutely amazing!

  • it s almost as hypnotic as watching a lava lamp (i mean this in a good way)...

  • awesome flow, good energy

  • Haters gonna hate. This guy is doing something he obviously enjoys and looks totally blissed out.

    Dig it :)

  • Wow, are all of the people who work in this section of show business pricks? I understand that people look at you like gods for having the courage and the skill to twirl fire, but I think you forgot that most people are easy to impress anyway.

I also think it's funny that you are so insecure about your own abilities that you'll hop online to critique a third-party video of a beach hippie (I say that endearingly) just meditating and doing what he loves. Art, not show, he was fully focused.

  • Smooth! Love it :)

  • nice flow

  • *raaawr*

i like it very much :)

  • nice job on keep even rotations..

  • shit u r the poi master bro

  • Great!

  • were is the poi master.... And were are the "absolutly amazing '' stunts?????

  • you obviously don't play poi, not seriously anyways, not understand the gracefulness of body manipulation...its not about putting your body through extreme positions encouraging injury...but showing flow and technical ability with ease. he is an amazing spinner, YOU just can't see it. I love this video! it's awesome! x

  • I'm with Angel.... extremely good, but not "master" quality. But yea, definately rythmic and sweet!!

  • Sweet. ***** ...and for the haters, read the explanation that he wrote in the comments, he doesn't call himself a master, that video was uploaded by someone else. Poi and greetings from Venezuela. :D

  • That is pretty damn cool. Practice more and you will master this!!

    PeAcE

  • Very graceful but definately not a master- however keep learning! You're doing very well.

  • It was not the performer that put the label "Master" into the title of the video.

Its not really a performance style, this would be a feeling thing, poi for personal enjoyment, this means that the usual categories we measure are different.

  • wow

  • Fluid, beautiful, graceful, serene and passionate, maybe the best male spinner I have ever seen. Please post more!

  • excellent fluidity and transition!

  • soooo mesmerizing and fluid. i just started learning, and this is so inspiring

  • man i like ur fluid motion..none of ur moves are divided..it seems as in all of it was one hyper long amazin move..rly cool

  • Mmmm... How nimbly ^^

  • thats how u gotta be. get the fundamentals down and then build it up

  • nice! :D

  • he dances so slow and passionate. almost like its in slow motion. awsome ^^

  • This is simply an amazing video. Your antispin buzzsaw flowers are awesome. And the serenity you give off while spinning is quite relaxing. Keep up the good work!

  • Wow! i feel a little left our now lol... Your variations ont he weaves are awesome, and your buzzsaw-esk work is fantastic!

  • YEAH PEOPLE! THANKS FOR THE NICE COMMENTS. I AM CLAUS, THE GUY ON THE VIDEO. I HAVE TO CLAIRIFY SOMETHING. I JUST HAVE SEEN FOR THE FIRST TIME THIS VIDEO ABOUT ME, SOME INDIAN GUY TOOK IT IN DEC.2006 AND POSTED HERE. I HAVE TO SAY, I DO NOT THINK THAT I AM A MASTER, BECAUSE IN LIFE YOU WILL NEVER BE A MASTER AS LEARNING NEVER ENDS! BUT I HOPE I HAVE INSPIRED YOU TO PLAY MORE... ;o) cu claus

  • Your amazing non the less!

  • You are really amazing at this, Im starting to learn, so Its always great to watch anothers techniques....

And it helps that you are easy on the eye too! Nice dreads...mine are bright pink and shoulder length, so appreciation for dreads and poi!!!

  • so calm I love it! the clunk noise is a little old.

  • What's the clunk clunk noise?

  • His plane control for about the first 80 seconds is absolutely incredible. It gets a little wonky after that but only because he starts moving faster into harder tricks.

And Claus doesn't call himself master. Whoever posted the video called him that. Check your facts folks.

  • I wouldnt call him "master"

    but he is very good

    very calm and relaxed

this is and old video, so he should be very good by now

    congratulations...

    greetings from brazil

  • What's all this fuss about? I don't see anything wrong with being centered and balanced while spinning. You seem to be at a peaceful state in the video. What's wrong with energy? People are way to quick to judge and point fingers. I would never expect this would come out of the poi community. Anyway... Nice video. I wish it were longer :) There is one thing though... I'm not use you can "master" poi ^^

  • f$*@'in Amazing, dude

  • nice video! im a claus fans!!! ;) say hi! to yuta dude!!!

miss the old time when we were in bali!

    xoxo

    Sebastian.

  • How is Bali? I've always wanted to visit.. I've heard it's awful peaceful :)

  • nice video! im a claus fans!!! ;) say hi! to yuta dude!!!

miss the old time when we were in bali!

    xoxo

    Sebastian.

  • Chi is the opiate of the masses.

  • slow? true

    master? weaves mastered indeed

    amazing? maybe for beginners but...

I don't criticize for individual approach to poi. In some time thanx to his zen Goa be good

  • To master Poi is to not master moves. To master moves is to not master Poi. The art of Poi does not involve moves. It involves flow - The ability to move with grace making it seem as if you aren't even spinning the poi and as if they're spinning themselves around you. This man is a Poi inspiration, and if you don't see it, you must not dedicate yourself to Poi. His movements are simply a form of style and manipulation. And trust me, he does advanced "moves" there. Truly amazing flow :)

  • to say that i dont dedicate myself to poi is as if you negated most of my entire life, you should really reconsider what you write cuz i know what flow is. and dont tell me crap, first read again my post, because there are so many ways of seeing poi as poi spinners themselves. the way you see poi is not mandatory 4 all. I dont like trickers, I prefer good styles, but this one is not poignant for me all, and not at all special

  • No offense to you, friend, but if you say you are as dedicated as you are, you would truly not speak such words to a fellow Poi Artist. To simply say you don't like a style of someone's Poi is one thing, but to say that this is a style that can only be amazing for beginners, and only the weaves being mastered, you didn't look deep enough. Notice a Hyperloop? Notice a 4 Petal Antispin Butterfly Flower? Notice the buttery-smooth Crossers? I don't disrespect you. I am at complete love of people. I

  • just think you should show more respect. This man has a wonderful flow. His footwork, his slow circular movements, his posture, it is obvious some kind of fusion with Tai Chi is being used. Regardless to that, his spinning is miraculous. He has mastered much more than weaves. I would appreciate it if people would put much more than moves into consideration. It is one thing to stand there and spin, but to watch someone with flow and fluidity.. It is spiritual. Thank you for your reply, friend.

  • I exactly know what you are getting at, energy that he uses when spinning. I also fall into fantastic state of mind when spinning, so I do know what you mean. I watched this clip several times and I also noticed tricks mentioned, but you obviously didn't notice that everyone has a right to express his own opinion, regardless whether it is good or bad, and regardless experience.

  • I simply don't like it and his chi doesn't appeal to me, so respect that. Maybe he is special for you but not for me. Calling himself Poi Master is a pity by the way, that's why I decided to comment on him.

  • I do not fault you for your opinions. But it is a common thing, to hide your ignorance or disrespect in the face of "opinion." Everyone is entitled to your opinion, but that's not what you gave. An opinion is something that states how you feel, but opinions should never put someone down, or else it would be considered an insult. And that's what you did. You disrespected him and his practice.

  • No i did not. Maybe I insulted you saying that "for beginners" but I didn't mean to insult him, only to deny Mastership, in my consideration. What you read is what I thought

  • It came off as an insult to him.

  • Nice job man! Congratulations! It´s perfect

  • I want get this trick to change to swing speed.

  • i love poi and i love ur dreads :)

  • Mmmmm...thats really incredible. U can clearly see that its not only spining poi-it's spiritual. Look how he moves, hes in complete chi with himsef and poi. Wonderfull!

    Peace.

  • Ha...Do you know how stupid you sound? "he's moves are gay". What so basic and a few advanced moves are gay...teeheeehee you poeple do make me laugh

    peace xxx

  • fuck of !! nice...

  • I was meditating to that! sweet

  • eee

    hmm.....

    what is here amazing ??

I don't see any amazing tricks, basic weaves, basic flowers, ohww ok the buzzsaw was nice, but the other, it is nice but not amazing.

  • no deverias verte como master... que hay tantos mejores que tu y yo... lo haces bien...

    besos

  • nice and sloooooow, so....ZEN!

  • Truely enchanting. So fluid...like watching metitation in movement. I was spellbound.

  • realy nice transitions!

    enjoyed watching it! :)

  • gorgeous!! i think sum ppl try and do it fast so it looks harder but its so much more beautiful when its slow cos u can c wot happens and appreciate the technique... amazing!!

    xxKIMxxx

  • *stares* That was beautiful!

  • *smiles* thnks :)

  • beautyfull!!
