Were it not for the Orthodox Prayers through all the difficult times and especially during the Stalinist times, the Church would not have survived. In Liturgical Services throughout the world of Orthodoxy God heard our prayers and the Church reigned Victorious over her adversaries. So let us All continue to pray that our prayers be heard by God who answers all of our prayers as He deems worthy. Christ came into the world to save ALL sinners that we may be united with Him in Prayer and Worship.
I strongly disagree with your 2% figure of True Orthodox Christians. True Orthodox Christians are all those who place their faith and belief, however that may be manifested, in Christ and His Gospel Message. There never was a time when the Orthodox Church or Faith "was not". This is what we profess in the Nicene- Constantinopolitan Creed and profess in our hearts. Through All persecutions, be they Mongol/ Tartar or Communist/Atheistic, the Church and Believer's Lived in the knowledge of Truth.
Russia as All Orthodox Christians have had the Faith from the time of St. Vladimyr, through the Communist and Soviet times did much to build up the faith. This was when the Church and believer's were tested in their Faith. Let us never put ourselves in the position of judge of who is or is not a True Orthodox Christian or Believer. God alone is the Judge and He alone will judge both the living and those who have reposed in the Lord. Let us rather pray for the unity of the Orthodox Faith worldwid
It is Nice to hear from you about the Russian Orthodox christians . I belong to Syrian Orthodox church of India. I shall continue to pray for your people to grow more in faith and belief.
Thank you for this! It was beautiful, I agree, as an Orthodox that is about to enter seminary, that there is a great need to pray that people will recieve the Truth of Gospel from in a Pravoslayne manner.
Thanks for your comment about the video. It means a lot especially coming from an orthodox who is entering seminary. What a great opportunity for you to serve our Lord and to share the hope that we have in Christ. For all of life is about serving Him and making His name known. I will continue to pray for the Orthodox church that the Truth of the Gospel will shine forth clearly to the people of Russia. Thanks again and God bless.
