I think that you had some great concepts. However, I think that your lesson could be stronger if you involved the students more. You had several opportunities to get them involved. For example, have them brain storm on what they thought mono and tone meant instead of giving them the meaning. Ask the students for some examples of what some synonyms and antonyms might have been.
