here in japan old grand-dad is about the same price as maker's mark and gentleman jack. i like it better than maker's mark. between ogd 114 and gent jack, it just depends on how sweet of a whiskey i'm in the mood for. jd is REALLY sweet.

I use to drink it, and thought it was rather good. But they don't sell it in the local liquor stores in my area now.. damn it..

I use OldGrand strictly for medicinal purposes. I use the 100 proof. Does anybody know where I can get the 114 proof? I'm in Chicago by the way.

meh never cared for the 86 proof version. It's just a cheap bourbon that gets you drunk. Evan Williams will do the same and it's $8 cheaper, better on ice and better mixed.

Now saying that, the OGD 100 and the OGD 114 are quality bourbons at a great price

Never had it, but I see it on the second to last shelf at the liquor store - probably why I haven't had it yet.

A local nightclub has a bottle of it, so I might try some Old Grand Dad on the rocks sometime.
