@horseriderhannah Correction: Western. Many western riders do not compete or ride with helmets, Americans who ride English wear helmets due to strict federation code, not because they aren't American.
That horse has a really nice canter! I used to always canter accidentially until I got my horses under control and I just did my first canter a few days ago.

wow,that was great, when i did my first canter i wasnt on purpose. it was by accident lol. i was on this shetland called katie and she doesnt like other horses around her i was about to start trotting and she got to close to blaze the pony and she kicked blaze and she cantered off and i fell in to the nettles :( and i was off lead! it wasnt katies fault or mine though. hope you dont do that though, cuz you get really really nervous on the past few days. im only 9! very good canter! cya
i like both western and english. I guess western is easier to canter because you've got that horn to grab onto, but you're nto supposed to... english, ive not cantered in it before, but i found it difficult to post on the correct.... i dunno what it's called hahaaha!!
yeh... I am English and I think that it would be really hard 2 try western - it looks really comfy tho :) u should try jumping it's so fun :)

Even though you bounced quiet a bit at some places, you has a really good seat most of the time for your first canter.

wow that was awesome for a first canter!!!!!!!!!!!! Just remember to keep yur but in the saddle but i had the same problem!!!!!!(And a helmet)
