This game might be the last 2D platformer ever (depending on whether or not you consider Order of Ecclesia a platformer). The genre certainly went out with a bang.
This is what I love about this series. It's evolved and changed so much as each new installment comes out, but the music always keeps the feel of the classic games. I could see 8-bit Megaman blasting enemies with this playing in the background as easily as X or Zero or Grey and Ashe.
@outlier1985 What I found quite interesting is that at the beginning of Mega Man ZX Advent where you don't have any biometal, the game plays exactly like the first Mega Man games without the slide or charge shot. After that, you kinda move toward an X-ish feel with walljumping and dash/charge, till around the middle where you get the ZX-A-trans where you pretty much play Zero.
For me, it feels like the whole Mega Man Series were put together in one game.

No, it's not. Once Grey and Ashe complete their respective Intro stages, they can no longer return to them. the closest to returning is the lab on the other side of the waterfall bridge.
You are lying. There is NO way to teleport back to the EXACT intro stage. only the segment after it, named the mysterious lab. the bridge is broken, so you cannot get over it, and there is no teleport spot like there is all around the rest of the areas. There is no transerver there either. and the locations on the selection map are dark, you cannot select them. You want me to believe it, give me proof of otherwise.

Actually, if we analyze it, we can say he actually never died. When he sealed Dark Elf, his body was quite alive. However, it can be theorized due to events in Z2, that his close proximity to Dark Elf, (she was INSIDE HIM!) his consiousness became a cyber elf, and drifted into cyberspace. His "true" death I guess, was Z2 where his body was killed. Though technically, that dont mean jack squat, since he wasnt in the body at all. Kind of how Zero wasn't dead before getting the copy body...
Exact story: Megaman ZX is along the ORIGINAL MEGAMAN TIME LINE, but WAAAY in the future. Here we go:
Megaman defeats wily for the last time, Dr. Light makes Megaman X and puts him in the capsule... time lapse to after Light's death, X wakes up, meets Zero - who was made by Wily before HIS death to kill Mega - beats Sigma and Maverick virus, then the Elf Wars come up...
Axl's fate is unknown, might've been corrupted in X8, But X seals the mother - now dark - elf in himself and "Dies"...
Zero is sealed away after defeating Omega in his original body...
Awakens century or so later due to Ciel, defeats Copy X, saves Neo Arcadia, defeats Dr. Weil and his Ragnarok superweapon, presumably dying in process...
even longer after that, MMZX starts, humans and reploids live in peace, Models/Live metals are created in between periods, Albert starts the game of destiny, Vent/Aile's quest.
I will now list the names of the models and their original identities...
(Con... Last one, I promise...) Model X = Megaman X Model Z = Zero Model H = Harpuia, Guardian of Wind Model F = Fefnir, Guardian of Fire Model L = Leviathan, Guardian of Water Model P = Phantom, Guardian of Shadow Model O (not really a model...) = Omega Zero Model A = Model Albert Model W = Model Weil, made from the remains of the Ragnarok super-weapon. (by the way, where can I download this song? also, did anyone else notice, "Weil" & "Wily"? ^_^)
actually the original version was Veil and Wily so they are not related in any known way, reason y Veil was changed to Weil was cause in megaman x series there was a character named Veil so in order to not mix things up they named Veil Weil in the US version
Model O is actually a model, Fleuve fixes up the "mysterious stone" so you can use it. Since Omega IS actually a canon story element, (he has his own Data disk) it can be assumed that Model O is canon as well, just not story relevant at all.
actually, zero kills light and megaman, and roll and rush, I think... but in X4 he has a dream making him remember the murder he committed. in said dream, there is blood on his hands and megaman is a husk of a robot.
actually i think since zero was maverick for a time that he killed megaman and others like dr. wily wanted so dr. light built a new robot and named him X but sealed him up and such till he was released by dr. cain many years later and dr light had died.
Inafune himself has already officially stated that Zero did not kill off the characters from that series. Zero first woke up when the Gamma Maverick Hunter unit arrived at the area he was sleeping in. When Zero had finished completion, Wily didn't release him from his capsule.
It can be speculated that it was due to X's proximity to Dark Elf that he became a cyber elf. remember that Mother elf has the ability to turn someone into a cyber elf like she did with Elpis in Z2. just by sprinkeling him with her power. X had part of her inside of himself. when he lost consciousness as he sealed himself, his mind and body were separated by that power and he became a cyber elf.
yeah... but that woud bring another fact to discuss: X had lost it powers to continue existing as an cyber elf at the final of MMZ3, and this is when mother elf / dark elf lost it curse.. so this would mean that X was directly connected to the dark elf curse? (damm plot holes...)

BN and Starforce are in a totally DIFFERENT timeline called the Battle Network timeline, where computer networks flourished, instead of robotics. Starforce's sales are plummetting, so its on an undecided hatiu, capcom is planning to finish it, or capcom is going to drop it entirely.

Its outright said by Prairie that they contain the souls of legendary heroes. and directly shows a silhouette of Zero and Ciel facing an army of pantheons. plus the Models reference events predating their construction.
Just because it should happen for storyline purposes doesn't mean it'll actually happen...money is what matters to Capcom and Inti Creates. Will a third one generate profit? That's the question.
Well, if you want to be negative about it, I'm sure you can look at it that way. I'm pretty optimistic that there is going to be a third, considering how many people like the Zx series thus far.
Idea: Vent/Aile have a really good Transporter employee as they run Giro Express. That kid finds Biometal Model X (based on Copy X). They meet Grey/Ashe and copy Model A's power and uses a 'Megacross', an imitation of a Double Megamerge. They find Model Z, give it to Vent/Aile, and find out they're a Mega Man. That kid becomes Vent/Aile's apprentice, they find a conspirasy, gain a hella lotta forms, and save the world. Sounds good right.'Mega Man ZX: Rebirth' This one gives X the spotlight.
despite it all. u can finish advent within 2 hours if ur a noob and a pro could be haf that time but still, its outrageously hard because u have to choose 2(3) levels of dificulty
When I heard about ZX I was excited for it and then ZXA about a year after well the game is cool but it could've been better if they brought back the models or designs of the past characters they resemble. They could at least put in some of the other MegaMan characters back into it like Protoman and Bass.

I have gone through the game several times over and I have not been able to get back to that area that Grey first wakes.
Either you somehow bugged your game to do that or are using a emulator with a function that allows you to travel to those areas.

You see, it's mentioned in MMZX that Biometals contain consciousness, not souls of the reploids they were modeled after.
Basically put, soul and consciousness is not the same thing, so these metals act like their predecessors, although they are not their original souls.

They meet Grey/Ashe and copy Model A's power and uses a 'Megacross', an imitation of a Double Megamerge. They find Model Z, give it to Vent/Aile, and find out they're a Mega Man. That kid becomes Vent/Aile's apprentice, they find a conspirasy, gain a hella lotta forms, and save the world. Sounds good right.'Mega Man ZX: Rebirth' This one gives X the spotlight.

despite it all. u can finish advent within 2 hours if ur a noob and a pro could be haf that time but still, its outrageously hard because u have to choose 2(3) levels of dificulty

When I heard about ZX I was excited for it and then ZXA about a year after well the game is cool but it could've been better if they brought back the models or designs of the past characters they resemble. They could at least put in some of the other MegaMan characters back into it like Protoman and Bass.
