Anyway, here's rule #25.2, I cut the extra parts off that didn't matter.

The puck must be kept in motion towards the opponents goal line and

once it is shot, the play shall be considered complete.

So on Ovechkin's shot, he pulled the puck back, which is not towards the goal!
