He is the greatest skater ever, he won more titles than any other competitor, he is the real olympic champion, now and ever. His art is sublime and unique, sometimes dramatic, or poetic or even funny, supported by an incomparable technical ability. He i a legend.
Totally agreed! He is a great person who is remarkably talented and passionate about figure skating! I am so glad to see him skate again, hope he continues to skate, just a joy to watch!
P.S. I am so sick of Evan went to "DANCING with the stars" instead of competing with Evgeni! Evan was overshadowed by Kate(reality star, mom of 8)!!! That's say a lot about Evan and Evengi's sportsmanship!!!
I admire Evgeni so much! He is so brave, he takes risks and he loves skating more than anything else! That's why he is the best! It's so hard to have something that you deserve and that you have gained with so much effort been taken away from you! And that's exactly what happened with evgeni's medal! he ows it but he doesn't have it..and the fact that he knows what he deserves and states which his real place is, is not called unsportsmanship but self-knowledge! I agree Plushenko should have won gold. He did good programs. Further, I think his words have been twisted to sound unsportsman like. He is too much a professional do do that. He sounds gracious --he is just trying to further the sport with the quad! Don't retire! FS needs you! I am American too.
I m an American and I think Plushenko was definitely the better skater. I think some of the judges had it out for Plushenko for the comments he made about the quad, and used him as an example by scoring him to low. He is a joy to watch and I do hope he continues to skate.
In my opinion Plushenko should have won the mens figure skating gold. He outperformed Lysacek by a lot and I think the judges were rigged. You could even see Lysacek sweating bullets from the sideline because he knew he was being beat . Lysaceks good but the Russian was better.
won gold by merit and unanimous decision, both the judges and the public. There is no discussion about it, BUT there are tons of people like me that would never accept Lysacek as the champion because the real one is Plushenko.
This guy is simply awesome! I agree with Tihbialdunav, he is the REAL winner, and I'm an American by the way. I really hope to see him skate again in 2014.
