I don't remember the exact year, but I seem to remember the jacket being red, which may correspond with the Kiss

Been there since the start (nearly, they have a few years on me) and it sounds as sharp today as the original did. Perhaps I should give all my old Cure t-shirts away and start again! Still good even now. If my old school mates could see this (as they now live away and the internet didn't exist back then) they would be out clubbing with rediculous amounts of eye liner! You thought they were winding the song down then they would build it back up and just start raging again. They did that about 3 times. Damn that was unbelievable. On top of that this was my favorite tune of theirs then and its still one of their all time best.

I was there with my gf and i had won tickets from knrk 94.7 because I knew the author penelope farmers' name and about 'charlotte sometimes'. weird, I know.
No band has the right to be this damn good live, it shouldn't be aloud as it puts all other bands to shame . This is a stunning performance with dynamics of the band complementing each other with Robert's vocal delivery just out of this world.
Somebody please upload the full 13 minute version so I don't have to keep watching my Show VHS. Infact, wouldn't it be great if The Cure in Orange [1986]and The Show [1993] were released on DVD...two of the best Cure concerts ever recorded.Come on Smithy!

Can the owner of this video verify if this was from a show in Long Beach, CA 1992? I swear this is the show I went to, I was 16 and the Cure gave all of my closest friends a complete eargasm playing almost 14 minutes of a song I thought I'd never hear live, it was amazing, and if I'm correct, Cranes opened (amazing)! I remember the lighting for this song (won't ever forget) and the way the amphitheater is set up looks all too familiar, my friends and I were stage right. It was unforgettable.

The band is tight, but, why isn't Robert singing the vocals form the onset? The production is good. Too many "Agains". The finish is excellent, but In Orange kicks ass on this!

@SonricsDelRubi it is from the cure show, rrecorder at alburn hills in detroit area if you get the cd this song is not on it you should do like i did and buy the vhs of this concert and burn the audio off of it, it may some day be released on dvd as well as the orange concert the cd of this concert is missing 7 songs including this one that is why you should get the vhs tape

This was definitely the pinnacle of their careers. This was the biggest tour they ever mounted and album sales were through the roof. After this things steadily went downhill and they pretty much became caricatures of themselves. They should have broken up after this tour like they said they did and left the memories and the music unsullied.

@sputnikpanicpuppet heh... good point on the "ngg gngn ggng ngngn ngng " part... altho I believe this was filmed in 1992 as part of the "Show" concert video / album... So at that point he had only been singing this song in concert for about 10 years. :)

@SonricsDelRubi it is from the cure show, rrecorder at alburn hills in detroit area if you get the cd this song is not on it you should do like i did and buy the vhs of this concert and burn the audio off of it, it may some day be released on dvd as well as the orange concert the cd of this concert is missing 7 songs including this one that is why you should get the vhs tape

This was definitely the pinnacle of their careers. This was the biggest tour they ever mounted and album sales were through the roof. After this things steadily went downhill and they pretty much became caricatures of themselves. They should have broken up after this tour like they said they did and left the memories and the music unsullied.
