@livio1396 not so big but i think 401 keeps in tune better (i have ex-401 myself). earvana compensated nut and grover tuners are known as much better quality than standard nut and esp tuners, but i dont know there can be little more differences, i haven't ever tried 360, but yeah, i recommend 401 (i got that only 577€ from sale). that's all i know, sry my bad english:) hope this helps you somehow...

@MadCrokodile1 yeah kinda hoped it wouldn't be that big a difference lol, but the thing is that i tried to find a 401 in stores and online (even ESP website) and it seems they aren't produced anymore :( ... in a store i tried the one with tremolo and stuff and it was pretty good, but obviously i don't believe it feels the same as the 401 or the 360 (cause of the bridge and stuff)... that was like a year ago lol so i kinda spent the money on other stuff :D

ive been looking into getting either this guitar or the viper 400. how do u like the 60 in the neck compared to the usual 85. i know the 60 is the "cleanest" pickup emg puts out, and the cleans are grea, but. my only concern is weather it has enough balls in comparison to the 85.

anything you do don't get the viper i have a viper 1000 deluxe and its top heavey/neck heavey (in meaning the headstock leans a lot twards the ground and it suck im trying to sell it and i don't want to move the strap pins because i dont want that hole if you or any one is looking for one i got one for sale !!!!! just for your info buddy

honestly, i like the more radically designed explorer style bodys. like the jackson kelly and esp EX series more so than the regular gibsons explorers. if you want something that radical, yet dont want to play something radical, its just not right to me. but if im gonna go for extreme, might as well go all the way.

If you mean the "real" explorer from ESP they are the same size. If you mean the EX, they are abit smaller :P I would say, i have a FX (wich is the same as EX only with different Headstock and finish) and it seems to be smaller than the Explorer my friend have.

then i recomend going with a ltd ec-500. sinc they dont make the ec-400 anymore. if you can find an ec-400 those way sweet i have one haha. rock solid never gives me any problenms i got it used and its like years old. but i recomend go to a guitar store try the esp and epi see which feels better to you. and you can always swap pickups emgs are simple to change in.

Yourmybiatchnow... I own a Dime guitar with a Seymour Duncan Dimebucker and the FR. Trust me... Get this... This is my next investment and had I known anything about the Dime guitar before I bought it, I would have gotten this instead. Dont get me wrong I love my Dime Razorback V, but not being able to down tune just by turning a tuning head sucks. Then if you wanna drop tune the FR and still use the Trem you have to take it and get a different set up. Pain in the ass.

Could you tell me the main diffrence between an ex-50 and the 400 ? cus i really can't figure it out except its diffrent standar pickups on the ex-50

The pickups as you said are different, the body on the 50 is made of Maple, the body of the 400 is mahogany, the neck on the 400 is a set neck vs. the bolt on of the 50. The 400 has grovers for tuners and the 50 has cheapie ESP tuners. Also the hardware is a different finish. The 50 is a great starter guitar for the metal minded, the 400 is probably one of the best deals going for that style guitar.

It's mostly the body and colour, but the FX260 has somewhat cheaper hardware and pickups. There's a EX260 as well but I'd say go for the FX260.
