I just want to say that they have left behind a great legacy in music and soul through you jeff...Not a day goes by that I do not pray for you and your family since I met you.
I worked with Marcella at the Fan club for several years. Every time I saw her after she married Gene she seemed very happy after being single for so long. I will truly miss her! Sorry for the loss of your father as well.

Marcella is my cousin and I will miss knowing she is on the mountain. I only really got to know Gene this past year when we ate lunch at Mary's cafe several times. Marcella and I nearly fought :) over playing with Mary's grandbaby. They were a wonderful couple.
My brother was the man in the Huddle House. He will recover. He and Gene hung out at there, drinking coffee, and telling tells.
@chb417 I'm sorry to hear about your brother. I'm glad to hear he will recover. I jokingly said that dad loved the Huddle House so much, he took it with him when he left.
@ShylockEffect Thank you. My brother will recuperate. We grew up just off HWY 35 around the corner from Marcella. When I was 12, Mother and I moved into the yellow house on Dupree Circle that is half blown away.
I was at Marcella and Gene's funeral. If you are the one who spoke at the funeral, you did a fantastic job at such an emotional time.
@chb417 Thank you so much. I was in fact the one who spoke. I didn't have any time to prepare a eulogy, so I did the best I could. I needed to speak, though. Both Dad and Marcella were two of the finest people I have ever known, and I am proud that I can say they were my parents.
