Ritter probably made the best case against invasion I've heard. Just sticking to a constitutional obligation to obey treaties, the consideration of the UN and international law as some form of treaty and extrapolating that this means the US has to obey the UN in its foreign policy.

The best legal argument, of course, the worst conclusion imaginable. What type of fucking moron thinks the US ought to obey the fucking UN. After Rwanda, the UN can cease to exist for all I fucking care.

Ritter was a godsend for the antiwar movement...he correctly rebutted most of the nonsense of the former UNSCOM inspectors (who supported the US/British stand on Iraq).....and insisted Iraq had weapons, people like David Kelly, Duefler, Trevan and Terry Taylor insisted the Iraqis had weapons...no they did not and those inspectors knew it...................

Love it how Hitchens is famous for mocking people who make ad hominem attacks against him because of his alcohol problems, but I guess it is OK to go ad hominem on Ritter since he is telling the truth and there is no other possible way to take credibility away from him.

He may or may not be a pedophile but how does that diminish his credibility. Sounds like he's dead on most of the time when speaking about Iraq and WMD's. I remember him talking on c-span before the occupation trying to get his message out that Iraq had no WMD's and what a mistake it would be to invade. He was very passionate about it and the fact that the bushies wouldn't let Hans Blix finish the job was good enough proof for me add in some yellow cake lies and presto sealed it.

First of all, there is no doubt Ritter is being set up, just like the two previous attempts. I could list a mountain of evidence to show you how this is done, but just think about it. Do you REALLY think that a consummate professional like Ritter, who has extensive knowledge of clandestine operations and who even stated not more than a year ago that he "KNEW" the Establishment had him under surveillance, would be so FOOLISH to engage in an act he was set up for TWICE before and FILM IT, TOO!?
