i see 2 compact cars a ford fiesta wagon? and a vw rabbit the big chevy suburban they had can still be seen at 299 queen st east mounted in the wall.....but with new ownership of this building it wont be there much longer!
0:21 - When Rewind was on CP24 a year or 2 ago, I saw a newscast from around this time and that guy was smoking a pipe on air. A PIPE??!!!! I was like wtf??? You don't see that anymore.
to be more exact, the vehicle "coming out" of the building is one of the original "LiveEye" remote broadcast trucks...the cars featured here in this plug, i think, are for those assignments not needing any live cameras. :)
My God, that's some carotid-bursting trumpet going on right there!

Toronto seemed more cool in the 80's and 90's. Did amalgamation kill us?

@facefail I think so...I live in Leaside, in the Burough of East York. Now it is just Leaside.

@facefail No, gentrification did.
Yonge used to be dangerous and interesting. Now it's just sleazy and boring.

@somewhatlongdong Especially the days when Citytv was at 99 Queen Street East. I still reguard Citytv as Channel 79, and not Channel 57.

csp1977 3 years ago
No..the vehicle coming out of the building is an old Chevy Suburban...these vehicles were during their "Chevy Citation/Ford Escort" days.
