I have a Rover 825D (Diesel) fastback, it is practical,comfortable, and handles bloody well. I think they are getting very rare now in Diesel and I need a fastback for practicality. If there's one about, diesel fastback good nick, I'd be interested.
Very enjoyable vid. Nice to see the Rover giving it the beans, looks pretty useful out there. I've got two Rover's but they're not exactly race cars (P6&SD1). The 8 series were a very underrated car IMO, carries some nice corner speed in some parts too. Good driving from the BMW to get such good shots also. Thanks for posting it.
@restojon1 We have had many more trips since then check out the videos on my channel. The owner of the Rover hasnt got that car anymore think the engine went on it. Tis a shame as it was a fun trip.
The M5 sounds nice and some how i dont think its standard lol. I take it the rover was the 2.7 ?. What surprised me was that the dam thing handled very well round the ring . Maybe thats why the traffic cops used them , lol or maybe not . Anyway it was great footage
Those Rovers certainly are great cars, so so underestimated. Just look how it handles on the track! The BMW M5 never gets passed it (am not slagging the M5 off.....must be a great car also!) is the rover a 2.0 turbo? Is it a saloon or hatch? as I was told the vitesse 5 door hatchbacks can be a bit tail end happy.
Hey Ash, nice to see the Rover being appreciated¬ there are definitely some bits where the M5 backs of a little on the straights, but to offset that, the Vitesse definitely seems to have the upper hand in some of the bends! Both very cool cars though! :-) That M5 sounds amazing!

Yeah it was stock but I put a mic inside the airbox so thats why it sounds beefy
