I just bought this game at Wal-Mart... haven't even opened it yet thought I would get online to see a trailer of it. It looked good from what I read on the back of it.
I loved this game, it was one of the most fun I've had playing a video game in a long time, the art work and faces and oh my god everything was amazing, the music and voices were awesome I thought it was a movie at some points! I still have it but don't play it cause it not as fun to replay the missions cause you know what happens and you can't that suspenses feel again but it was an amazing game! I give it a 9.8/10! :D

It doesnt end in chases. You do a series of searches, a few chases to get SUSPECTS... then usually theres some more exciting bits, then you have an interrogation and you can choose who to charge with the crime. Freeroam is on the main menu. Click cases, then click a desk, then click Streets of L.A at the bottom of the case selection. Jeez.. actually look next time.

Rockstar games are the BEST games. LA Noire, Grand Theft Auto (all of them), Red Dead Redemption. Seriously, almost all of the games they release are fucking genius. Rockstar claims GTAV is the largest and most ambitious game of ALL of Rockstar's titles. Just name GTAV the game of the year now and be done with it.

To all the people complaining about how the "graphics" and "storyline" is different. This was more of a CGI teaser showing the concept of the game rather than a trailer. Hell, this teaser actually actually originally uploaded back in October 2006. That's almost half a year before any of us even saw the first GTA IV trailer which came out in March 2007. So yeah, they didn't even have the engine ready yet I bet haha.

@8888yoshi88 you cant. when you start the game a black and white title will appear saying the name of the case, once you finish a case, another black and white title appears with the name of your next case. however, during a case you can do what you want, you can drive through all the entire city, but if you crash with something or with a pedestrian, at the end of the case you would loose points for it. however when you finish a desk u can enter to " cases" in the top menu and enter free roam

i just finished the game. i enjoyed playing it and am sad that it is over. the ending was incredible in a sad way, and the whole concept of the game was awesome. a must buy for anyone who wants to play a well done cop game that doesn't have just like 2 hours of gameplay.

1. There is a freeroam mode.
2. You don't "shoot and then the case is over"... you capture someone, then you have interviews with them in then station.

L.A Noire is a fantastic game and I reccomend it to anyone who enjoys video games... It's not all action but once you beat it theres a lot more of it in free roam.. Sad ending though :(

@MrFerty08 "sad ending" means one thing: The main character prob dies. Now I get to go through the game thinking this, and likely being correct, and even if I'm wrong, its still been tainted. Please, even if you didn't mean it, never say that again.
