this is so helpful! We just got the new one at school (updating from 2004) and I'm the only one working in 3D and I couldn't figure out how to get the smooth sufaces(conceptual) from the wireframing. Plus I learned new tools too! Thanks :D
Newbie question ,Specifically why isn't Google sketch-up pro equivalent to Autocad? Sketchup is so easy and as simple or complicated as one needs , it's free and I taught myself.

is'nt there any way you could use your other projections to help create your 3d image? Can you not just flip and rotate your front view and attach it to the top or something!? this video runs to fast and diffcult to work with.
wow i feel like such an idiot... i can't figure out how to center the handle in the right side view, find the center of the rectangle, make the symmetric purple lines like you have.. and that is supposed to be the easy stuff... first day, 4 hours and i dont even have a damn rectangle with another rectangle in the center of it
