IF you see android icon instead of phone icon

Power On phone while holding the "x" key

Leave phone open and click the search key on the keyboard

Then use the volume keys to navigate the menu and select using the camera button

i would like to know doing this hard reset on my phone would that allow me to be able to reactivate my phone see i bought this phone from somebody which i didn't know that they had reported the phone stollen so when i went to activate it they told me i couldn't becaus eit was in the lost or stollen status. what can i do in order to take this phone from the lost or stollen status i dont know where the old owner is anymore she moved from here.

@maryguk Yes you will get your contacts back when you turn your phone back on and log into your gmail account all of your contacts will download to your phone.

Contacts will get erased, but as soon as you sign in to your google account, they are restored. Also all the apps that you paid for are still paid for. You just got to reinstall them. But you gotta use the same google email address that you used to pay for the apps.
