this is an absolutely horrible reading of Brahms!!! the intonation is horrible. doesn't mean they couldn't pull this together, but, after all, this is Brahms needing pretty much perfection in individual execution!!!!
I personally was not impressed at all with this performance, and unfortunately it's the only one I could find on Youtube with the finale of op. 51/2. It might just be the quality of the recording that's ruining it for me, but I feel this magnificent piece is not done justice here.
Don't be a silly twat, BartokQuartet. This is a music video where people express their subjective opinions. Some people like it, others don't, and nobody is claiming that his or her opinion is the absolute truth. Thanks to the poster.
This made me gasp a few times. This piece is so intense at times with it's dramatically hard bow strikes that it make me want to grab a conductors baton and wave it wildly in the air. Bravo Ladies for a 5/5 Star Stellar COMMAND performance to be proud of.
ooooo -_- me likee hen hao mui bien
