  • My daughter was diagnosed with infantile spasms jan 2010 she is 6mnths old. she has seen a neurolgist at Cheo, she has an EEG (measures brain acitivity) painless for baby. The neurologist perscribed Vigabitrin (Sabril) fair success rates. little side effects. Stared medication jan 28 2010. My daughter has another EEG in a few weeks to see if medication is working.

  • I'm so srry .But if u take her to a doctor I'm shoure they get her to calem down.

  • I'm sure you already know, but I think those are called Infantile Spasms. How is your little guy now? I know some kids out grow them, but some are just an underling symptom of something far worse.

  • Hi- HOW is your baby now??? My seven year old did this as a newborn and they told me it was an immature nervous system that he would out grow it and he did by just a few weeks of age. Please let me know how your baby is now!God bless him.

  • that is a seizure asshole my baby has been having them since birth almost 5 months ago. don't bother to comment

  • If she is doing in sleep its only sleep Myoclonus not seizure

  • Its not a sezure this is called BNSM and will cure over a period of time

  • your baby does the same in sleep or when awake

  • Research Febral Seizures

  • r u fucking kiding me its so cruel he is having a sezuire

  • it's very helpful for parents who suspect their child might be having seizures. you must not have children.

  • this is cruel y did u put this on youtube

  • I don't think it is. It's very educational for parents going through something similar. And I think you're an ass for saying it's cruel.

  • Are you medically trained?

  • Hi. I don't know much about seizures, it almost looked to me like twitches like a dog has in their sleep. But then again, it could be seizures, i honestly have no idea. Though if it did end up being seizures I am so sorry and your son is in my thoughts. Even at 6 days old he looks like an angel sleeping

  • Hi - our baby had seizures almost identical to this at 5 days old and for the following 2 weeks, so we have some idea of what you've been through. How is Brice doing now? Would really like to talk with you as I've not found anyone with such a similar situation. My daughter is on phenobarbital now. Charlotte (and Kev)

  • hi my baby is going through this too hers were just diagnosed as infantile spasms

  • looks like benign neonatal sleep myoclonus....

  • I have siezures my self i had one this mmorning now i am looking up some other peoples so am srry i feel your pain

  • my sister had two sizures when she was young too, but it was O.K. she was just young and it happens alot when you are young, all they had to do was give her some meds and she was fine, now she is 7 and hasnt had any! he will be fine

  • im so sorry that your baby boy has seizures...i was also born with seizures and i still have them at the age of 21 and it sucks...

  • I hope all is well with your son Brice! I am pregnant with my 3rd child and I'm feeling really strange movement in utero and I'm wondering if you experienced eratic movement while pregnant too?

  • My son started having seizures when he was an infant and is still having them to this day. He is now 4 1/2. He has had almost every type of seizure in the book and has had ones like those. I know how helpless you feel, but if you ever want to talk I will be willing too.

  • My heart goes out for such a beautiful little Angel, who have been robbed of healthy innocent childhood because of traumatic disease. What ever happened to the Doctors and hospitals of this country? It's maddening to see children of this country suffering while the hospitals of this country bluff of saving lives all over the world. It's sad that life is just NOT fair. I pray to God that your baby and your family overcome all these misery.

    Wishing you all the best.

  • Oh poor sweetie...I hope everything turns out okay! My sister has epilepsy, it't not fun! and I know you'd probably hate me for bringing this up, but the square clip on his carseat needs to be raised up a bit. I will be praying for the little guy! He;s so adorable! :)

  • It is wonderful that you are sharing this video. My daughter was diagnosed this past summer with epilepsy, but had I seen a video like this when she was an infant I would have sought medical advice. The signs were there, I just thought things were normal. She had similar episodes like this, and now she just turned three a few weeks ago, and has grand mal seizures. Her tests are normal, but the seizures were present. She is now on Keppra and is doing wonderful. Good luck, and god bless.

  • I wish you all the best and you are in my prayers. May the losd protect and save your shinnning star, your son. The struggle is going to be very frustrating but please never lose hope for many of us standing by and rooting for you.

    Good luck.

    Gerrie

  • aww poor baby

  • thats horrible, I cant believe how strong you two are. Don't worry god will protect your little one.

  • My son has intractable epilepsy, he was diagnosed with seizure disorder since he was 6 months old, it was our worst nightmare. Today they've manifested to intractable epilepsy where seizures can't be controlled with medication. Stay strong and be optimistic, some kids can grow out of this.

  • What a dear wee boy you have! I'm so glad things have turned out well for him :)

  • has your baby been diagnosed yet with anything? my baby has tuberous sclerosis he's been on phenobarbital, vigabatrin, topamax and now he is getting a daily shot of acth none of them have seemed to help him . it breaks my heart and I cry just about evey day but I have to hang in there and I will not give up on my baby. your baby is absolutely beautiful hang in there you will have good days take care!!

  • they never diagnosed any reason for his seizures. he had a bunch of tests though:mri of head and spine, lumbar puncture, cat scan, chest x-ray, blood work. they keep saying that he might grow out of them. hang in there, it does get better. brice is now 16 months old and only one seizure in a year.

  • Hello, I do NOT think Brice had a seizure. Our 5 day old, Herbie, has extremely similar twitches (if not exactly the same). He also had a intensive work up at Children's Hospital in Boston (lumbar puncture, chest x-ray, blood work). We did not have a cat scan or MRI but did have an EEG AND the event occurred while hooked up. NO epileptic or seizure activity was found. We believe that it is just myoclonic twitches that happen in a deep sleep and therefore only affect the muscle.

  • when my daughter was almost 4 monthes ols she started having seizures but hers were more like a body curl...i wish that i had videotaped them maybe the doctor wouldnt have dismissed it so easily and she could have gotten treatment sooner....hope ur baby is doing better:o)
