  • Great Aussie band... 1st album is the best!

  • Guns is so much better. This sucks dick. No one here is just a stupid glam princess. Heaven suck.

  • I agree by far the best version!!!!!!!!!

  • By the way. Heaven's verison of this song kick's ass on any Scorpions, Metallica, Bon Jovi, Cinderella, GNR song. Why? Because these guys never made it big enough to become pretentious assholes.

  • 2 other bands used this scene Metalica Bon Jovi

  • @The2RoothBtold If I''m not mistaken, Scorpions used this for "Send Me An Angel", and Cinderella used it for "Don't Know What You Got('Till It's Gone)"! By the way, what video did Metallica use it for?

  • @ultramanhayata1 Metallica used it for "I Disappear".

  • its ok, nice Guitar and Voice, but for me its always the version from Cold Chisel (Jimmy Barnes) one of the best

  • wheres GN"R?

  • @Lights77 in heaven ;)

  • Holee sheiit I found it!!!

  • this blows

  • I OLVE THIS SONG

  • This is thee best version of the song...classic

  • for my dad..i miss you..<3<3<3

  • This is Great! Thanks For Adding It!

  • WOW! thanksm I've been lookig for this video long time ago.

    Thank you very very much

YES the version of this song by far!

  • THE best version ever .

  • I like guns but how music that am I... this version is better... and its the best !!!

  • я даже не знал что у "Knockin On Heaven's Door" есть другие версии!!! Но это версия самая классная!!! просто жесть!!!

  • Heaven's version is the best.

  • love this version, great job. i never liked the guns version although i give huge credit to the band with their other work... with this song they just didn't succeed at all

  • After you go through heavens door you must be in paradise city, because it sounds like GnR sampled the drums to paradise city from this song. XD

  • One Of the Best version.compared to Guns N' Roses Version. \m/ this Band

  • My husband I have been looking for this song for as long as we have been married. We celebrated our 20th anniversary in september.

  • better than GnR's version...this singer is much better than axl.

  • I thing GnR do a better Job than heaven! Slash!

  • By far the best version of this song yet.

  • It sounds horrible :S I Don't like it

  • Arvil Phil collins Jordis Floyd Slash Lapointe Clapton Guns and Roses U2 Nazareth... Everyone has a cover of this.

  • I was a fan the day the video came out had the record then was able to find it on cd so i keep it rocking this is an amazing song and a great version and video Heaven can rock with no doubt at all.Best Version of this song by FAR

  • what band is this?

  • I love the guitar part (can one call it the guitar solo?)

  • me gusta mas como la canta guns n' roses :)

  • Very good, but I remain with that of the guns

  • this version is the best!

  • These guys were the inspiration for GnR. They were way ahead of that stuff. Ahead of just about every Sunset Blvd hairband that ever took in a Gazzarri's urinal.

  • @goshea ... of course, these guys (Heaven) are ripping off AC/DC AND Queen, with the Bon Scott frontman and the hoops-top wearing guitarist. :)

  • hey i've uploaded a video of myself performing this song, please watch it and let me know what you think :)

  • Bloody awful!! should be a law against hairbands covering Dylan classics.......

  • this version sucks! vocalist sounds like rnb singer

  • Yeah.....not the same.

  • ho..ho i just realized this vid clip. i think it was gnr but both of them are good

  • Which year was this song taken ??? I Miss those old days. wonder if someone knows which year this came out. another nice version compared to GNR's Version.

  • @DJJOHAN33 n This came out in 1985. So you see - much earlier than the GnR-Cover. In my (humble) oppinion GnR doesnt cover Dylan - they covered this band. Heaven was an Australian band and Axl Rose as well as Slash were influenced by a lot of Australian musicians and bands. Best known is Rose Tattoo.

  • this is the best of many versions hands down and end of story.

  • just Awesomeee!!

  • fantastic song!!!!!

  • why did G and R even bother trying?. By far, Heaven covered this song the best.

  • I like this version better than Gn R's. Axl over does it on the Use your illusion version.

  • THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST VERSION OF THIS SONG!

  • @Natyshe: Indeed, I would agree. No to mention that it features THE first-ever guitar spin caught on video that all these knobrockers are just now studying...26 years later. lol

  • @Natyshe Guns N' Roses dude.. check live from tokyo 92! roooooooooooooooooolez!

  • This guy should have sung on the Guns and Roses version. Axl sucks as a singer.

  • it sucks, sorry. GN'R version is way better...

  • @ruialexandere You clearly are a retard. Well in the minority as well. This is good though as we need idiots like you to beat up on.

  • my favorite version of this tune

  • wow 1:59

  • ..Wow...thanks for letting me share....Great Music Video..!!

    BEAUTIFUL !!

  • Very cool guitar spin near the 2 minute mark!

  • @dne743 agree... I fought trying to find this album on the internet (I have the original LP!!!), I finally found it like 1 year ago. Nice to find people with good taste in music :).

  • The best cover I've heard since Bob Dylan wrote and sang it himself. Sorry, but Axl Rose destroyed their cover of this, and I can't bare to listen to it. But these guys do the song justice! I love it!

  • The best cover I've heard since Bob Dylan wrote and sang it himself. Sorry, G'n R destroyed it. Love it!

  • This version was released on 1985 and GnR's on 1991. This is FAR BETTER than GnR's, just listen to the vocal arrangments, the keyboard background and the the non-repetitive solo (Slash always does the same). GnR write good songs, but their cover on this just SUCKS, it's like listening to a beginners band improvised cover, I doubt the musical knowledge of the people that say GnR version is better. Listen to the whole album of this song: AWESOME aussie rock.

  • The first time I heard the song "Knockin' of Heaven's Door" it was by these guys. I ran out and bought the cassette that day. Later, in the 90's, I tried to find it on CD. It was never re-released. Thanks so much for posting!

  • this one rocks the fuck out of GnR's version. nothing against them but i just cant stand Axl's voice, this guys voice is great (not trying to start an argument)

  • very good is video...go...

  • I like the GNR cover but I have to be honest as far as cover versions of this song go this rendition is my favorite.

  • muito chique

  • this song is more classic then rock, but of course GN'R are better

  • @MacedoniaForever007 this version was released on 1985 and GnR's on 1991. This version is FAR BETTER than GnR's, just listen to the vocal arrangments, the keyboard background and the the non-repetitive solo (Slash always does the same). GnR write good songs, but their cover on this just SUCKS, it's like listening to a beginners band improvised cover, I doubt the musical knowledge of the people that say GnR version is better. • @ixachilanca you sir, are musicly respected by me

  • i like the double entendre in this

  • All Heill Dylan for this magnificent piece of poetry :')

  • This is the best version, I remember when gnr came out with there's even they couldn't compare to Heaven

  • This version is so magnificent! =]

  • cool, considered the best version

  • cool

  • 65 people knocked on hell's door.

  • Although they weren't the first to cover this song, it came out WAY before GnR's version. I recall in college whenever MTV played this video, I was glued to the TV for both the song & the visual

  • this is the version ive been lookin for a long time. best ever

  • This came out way before GnR....and is a much better sound...besides they had the first full guitar throw around the neck that I can recall on MTV

  • @pakleglia haha couldnt agree more! this version rocks the fuck out of any other cover ive ever heard

  • One of the best songs i have ever heard!! :********

  • lead singer Alan Fryer was considered briefly as a replacement for Bon Scott ,before the band found Brian Johnson. They came very very close to hiring Fryer. Who sopunds and eerily looks like Scott.

  • I'm a musicien of black metal and i think all people of divers culture can like this song.

  • Im A die hard rocker. Had'nt heard this song in years. Went through some old cassettes and wondered who did this version. Found it here on youtube. I feel like and old man! I loved this song. and I still do. With my white tennis shoes, black jeans and a 86 yamaha fz600 back in the day.

  • @chrisvoorhees1234 I hear ya bro

  • I hear ya bro

  • watch?v=TRAP4FRM8B0&feature=channel_video_title

    see this cover..thx

  • i bought "where angels fear to tread" when it came out. read some of the earlier posts. differential daffodil...axl rose. slingshots....guns. i hate having to point out a what was supposed to be a joke. over and outta here

  • Yes "HEAVEN". Contrary to popular belief there were lots of rock bands pounding the Earth long before Guns N Roses took the stage and ascended the hard rock throne. Don't believe me well consider this; Axl & Slash had to get their inspiration from somewhere, right.

Check out the first 2 CD's by a group called "Montrose". They're also available on iTunes.

Whatever you do keep rocking & don't grow old on the inside!

  • I remember seeing this when it premiered on MTV back in 1985. A truly great song done by a band that went no where. It looks like they blew their whole budget filming this video.

BTW, the name of the group was HEAVEN, thought you'd want to know!

  • @KX7880 heaven? you mean like it says in the title right?

  • @KX7880 Remember the their video that MTV used to play? Rock School I think it was called.

  • Guns and Roses la canta mas vestial...

  • GREAT STUFF!!

  • FYI: johnnysfreelove is a Justin Bieber shill.

  • Comment removed

  • ewwwwwwwwwww hate the singer and this band ,,,,,,,i love my 70s metal real music i grew up with

  • axl rose

  • this is the ONLY version of this song worth listening to. wth are these guys not putting new stuff out is a mystery. and nobody under 40 it seems has ever evn heard of them.lol

  • his voice sounds like rod Stewart

     its good!!

  • This music was recorded on 1986.

  • What a great band from Australia.Their open for Black Sabbath back on 84 on Long Beach Arena.I was there.Great concert.

  • he sounds just like Rod Stewart

  • very clear sound

  • The GNR versions is wonderful, but this one is very nice too !

  • @MatteoTN this version was released on 1985 and GnR's on 1991. This version is FAR BETTER than GnR's, just listen to the vocal arrangments, the keyboard background and the the non-repetitive solo (Slash always does the same). • @MatteoTN this is REAL!!

  • @MatteoTN Obviously you are a fucking idiot because you don't know to respect other's opinions. Hey remember this: There's no one more retarded than the one that starts an argument on youtube. Sorry, you suck.

  • GNR version was a million times better. great song though

  • @thenamesdatlon i think it depends on which version you heard first and for how long.

  • I remember when this came out. These guys blew GnR away. It is too bad that they didnt get the press that Axl and Slash generated.

  • @GRIFFEN102 GNR's came out after this

  • @RonNearly Yeah, I know. I bought the cassette the day it was released.

  • @GRIFFEN102 this version was released on 1985 and GnR's on 1991. This version is FAR BETTER than GnR's, just listen to the vocal arrangments, the keyboard background and the the non-repetitive solo (Slash always does the same). • @ixachilanca Believe me, I remember. I was two years out of high school and playing in my first rock band; covering Dokken, Ozzy, AC/DC, WASP & these guys, among others. Heaven was one of my favorite bands.

  • @GRIFFEN102 no shit, the GNR version was utter crap. It was a mockery of the song, this was a fantastic remake.

  • i love how Heaven was mentioned in the motley crue book

  • LOVE it.A great band

  • gnr'gnr'gnr'gnr:-)...

  • @9KiraJadeBrown9 sux'sux'sux'sux' :-(

  • Sorry folk.....its a pussy version of this song!! & if this was really better cover than GNR then your probably GAY & it would have made this band......This band sucks!!

  • @bammb00 Yes, and music it's always about MACHO MEN like you... better shut your mouth; keep filling your ears with comercial stuff because that ignorance displayed by you just shows that don't know a shit of what music is.

  • GNR couldn't touch this version if they tried. Even the helicopter in alot of the shots seemed fitting. This band got a raw deal in my opinion, they rocked it out hard back in the day! Where did you find this video?

  • this is shit!!!

  • this makes gnr's version sound like shit.

  • 1:59 : WOOT!

  • OMG!!!! I totally LOVE this version!!!! It is my most favorite of all the covers I have heard of this song.

  • полное ГАВНО!

  • eww... that sounds gay...

  • I love moment at 1:59

  • that's cool too!

  • I must say that g.n.r version is a good version but this version is up with the original version by Dylan amazing feel and a momentum that just builds up to heaven!!!

  • I personally love this version !!! As well as, the entire albumn!!!! What a shame this line up did'nt make another album.

  • was ist das den hard rock für arme?

  • IMO its good even if its not the same style.

  • I think this is better than Guns n Roses cover

  • Jesus he sound like a fagot, This most be one of this songs worst cover...But i like it ,,,,why.....it makes me SMILE ...hahaha LoL

  • @hummlan1 just spin the dial and see where it lands hey?

  • q cancionsota

  • que cancion !!

  • Yes it was before GNR. I think it's a much better version of the song.

  • I've watched this video at least once a week every since I found it here on youtube!

Alan's voice has so much emotion imo and he has great control. I have all 3 Heaven albums on record, I really wish I could get them on cd so I could listen to them while I drive around and crank it as loud as my stereo will go, so the rest of the world could hear this amazing band! All hail Heaven!!! \m/

  • Like a proverb in the mouth of a fool..

This sucks- GnR's version sucks too.. It would help considerably if they knew something about literally knocking on Heaven's door, but they obviously don't.. there's no conviction here- no heart..

  • this is crap, sorry Guns'n'Roses is loads better!

  • @chunk166 Guns n roses version sucks, Axl sings like shit.

  • The best cover of this song...

  • wow...love the 80's hair/metal dayz, but these guys really fuck up this song (not as bad as GNR did though).

  • i love it

  • la canta mucho mejor axl rose

  • muy buena performan pero la canta mucho mejor axl rose

  • The singer is Alan Fryer and the guitarist people are wondering about is Mitch Perry, who before Heaven was formerly of Debrow, Steeler and Talas. He's played and recorded with countless bands and projects during and since and is currently with Asia.

  • do you call this band? hahaha is that hey want to come down this song but i don't know the group called him because hey are called "heaven" but not mothers do not see anything please help! Long live rock, fucking!

  • @theasa7 Learn to type in English.

  • @theasa7 i don't have a fuckin clue what you just wrote buddy. i don't even think the electronic translator could decifer what ever the hell you just threw out there. christ, i just tried to read it again and hurt my fuckin brain. back to "english is easy '101' " for you.

  • do you call this band? hahaha is that hey want to come down this song but i don't know the group called him because hey are called "heaven" but not mothers do not see anything please help! Long live rock, fucking!

  • do you call this fucking band? hahaha is that hey want to come down this fucking song but i don't know the group called him because hey are called "heaven" but not mothers do not see anything please help! Long live rock, fucking!

  • yeah, nice and chorus version so energetic but im more into gun n roses anyway!

  • whos the guitarist?

  • that solo is so mighty !! so much feeling !!

  • this singer actually reminds me on Steve Perry ... both the voice and the look

  • @GPAPoetics2 fuck off bitch guns n roses is awesome i admit this is a better version but never put down guns n roses

  • @cheeseq1695 Guns n Posers are gay, always have and always will.

  • @cheeseq1695 what if someone just puts down a few members of the band? like maybe "Axle 'Pose" for instance? or the earlier half a brain damaged drug indused stroker ace kicked to the curb by the rest of the band drummer Steve Alder? how about "sellout Slash spendanight in the sleeping bag with Michael Jackson"? can we make fun of those guys or?

  • is that STEVEN? The original vocalist of the band JOURNEY......

  • @dranojlev Steve Perry wasn't Journeys original vocalist it was Robert Fleischman he wrote Wheel in the Sky ... They fired him because he had LSD (lead singer disease) He went on to...The Vinnie Vincent Invasion years later
