Target and other retailers are the real thieves in this country. They lobby congress constantly for more lenient hiring practices and worker rights. They hire solely temp workers to get around paying benefits, outsource manufacturing to Chine. Corporate greed is the real criminal activity here. Shoplifters are only taking back what these corporate crooks took from us.
I think Ebay Should make it Mandatory to list scan numbers and Serial Numbers on all Electronics ,games, DVDs, and computers. With that paired with a missing list supplied by the stores, when the thief lists the item and supplies this number, it will automatically set off an alert and track the sellers whereabouts .To aleviate phony numbers, buyers should be required to fill out the numbers when recieved to make sure they match. If either buyer or seller refuses or scams, suspend them !

This mean if someone buy let's say a camera from you and you sold it for $500.00. And you shipped the new camera which is 100% described and works. The buyer can then make a jump start to file AtoZ claim by lying and claim you send him a box full of rocks. Then Amazon refund the money to them and they keep the product. Worse I seen.

I used to work at Target from 2002- 2003 when I was still a teenager. The store that I worked at only had two security guards and they only viewed the cameras when they had a substantial lose or an incident. I used to steal from them all the time when I worked there. The biggest item I was able to get out of there was a Playstation 2 with the help of a friend. I unlocked the Playstation and demagnetized it and made it look like I rang it through. Friend walked out and they never questioned me.

@csx7509 Back in the day when I worked their it was super easy to steal small things. Earphones you would have to open the box and take them out, unless the magnetic alarm thing is on the outside. I believe that they put those on the inside now. I do not recommend stealing from these stores though. They have beefed up security at Target from the sounds of it. Never steal from Walmart they have crazy security. My friend got arrested for stealing from there. They will fallow you with cameras.

I stole at least $600 worth of yugioh cards from walmart got caught once but i continue i stole $500 worth of yugioh cards from Target got caught once again.but i still continue stole at least $100 or more at Toys R us never got caught.i still continue to this day i got so much cards i dont know what to do with then i started selling on ebay the common cards only and keep the rares only.

Target and co are big faceless corporations, they make a whole shitload of profit every year with their 10 million outlets.. so dont worry its a victimless crime, unless you get caught. The smart ones should be aware of cameras watching.. do it more discrete or know exactly where the cameras are and pick a blind spot.

Well, guess what happens over time, thiefs learn you can just leave the store with stuff if your caught.
