This is NOT a hit n miss. The reason for the excessive smoke is due to the owner mixing to much oil in with the gas. It is a 2 stroke, so it will have some blue smoke.. but shouldn't have that much.

this won't kill the engine(rich oil mix) it will only foul the spark plug and the exhaust and they can be cleaned, older two strokes especially cast iron piston engines should run at least 20:1 petrol to oil mix. if an older type single grade low detergant oil or castor based racing oil(like castrol r) used it would smell much nicer

I run my Fairmont ROC engine a little rich as well.. I see it as a multi-purpose engine, it does fog the mosquitos and pisses off the tree-hugging liberals.. God I love hit-and-miss engines. Great video man, thanks for sharing!

Try Amsoil 100:1 two cycle oil.

Not sure about your question. the fuel is gas/oil mix 30wt non detergent 16:1 the fuel tank is the bottom, under the engine. this is running full rich mixture. See any skeeters?
