This is the first time I've seen this video. Kenny's voice is so young here. As he got older it got deeper and he could do anything with his voice. They sure are young here. Even Yvonne has a very young voice here. They are a great group and I love this song. It's so sad that Kenny died at age 41. I know God had something very special for him to do. God bless the Hinsons. God blessed Kenny and all of them with such beautiful voices. I love this video and Kenny's voice improved even more(if possible) with age.We did not want to part with him so soon but God had other plans.
My husband died last year and "The lighthouse" was his favorite gospel song. I just know he is asking Kenny to sing it in heaven. Soon we will all hear his beautiflu voice once again, when we are all there too, singing and praising Jesus.

Song was written in 1971 so this video has to be early 70's 1972-75.

Can you believe this song got thrown in the trash. It's true...Ronnie wrote it in the bathroom on a piece of toilet paper. It was then thrown away and later retrieved. Also when Ronnie wrote this song he had never seen a lighthouse.

Yes what a great story...I love this song and remember well when it came out and I used to play it on the radio when I was a dj many years...to this day I love lighthouses and have many of them here in my home. THis is I guess one of the top ten songs I love best.

That is so true..I have a lot of the older records and when I play them now the words of his songs are like Rusty Goodman , when I was on radio I played a lot of the songs but was on the phone most of the time so I missed a lot of what I played so now I got what I missed .
