Actually COGIC International used to be part of COGIC out of Memphis. They split from the main body in the 1960's, after the founding Bishop (Mason) passed away.

God had already revealed the theme in 1907 to Bishop CH Mason. But 1969 Bishop DC Williams called an assembly of preachers together because they disagreed with the COGIC (Memphis) being led by a 12 man board of Bishops. Bishop Williams felt they should only have a "Senior Bshop". Therefore Bishop Dc williams & the elders that agreed with him voted to depart from COGIC(Memphis) but they voted to keep the name COGIC & add International to it in 1969.

Something happened years ago and in order to keep its name, Institutional COGIC added 'International', hence removing themselves from the main body of The Church of God in Christ. It's not the word 'institutional' but it's the word 'international'.

Institutional is Cogic International.
Our Cheif Apostle is the Late Bishop Carl Williams Sr.
and the Presiding Bishop is Bishop J.C White.

noooo.......we are not under bishop blake...
bishop o.t jones started COGIC intl..in the 60s i believe. and our Founder became the presiding Bishop when OT Jones passed away
