I put a vance and hines Ignition Advancer in the engine, K&N Air filter, Yoshi slip-on. Jetted the carbs. It has a 520 chain on it. New clutch disks and plates I forgot who made the clutches but the clutch springs that came with it in the kit were 15 or 20% stronger than the factory ones. I replaced the fuel pump and filter the old one wasnt pumping as good as it should have. The vortex sprockets the back one is alum. and the front one is of course steel. I also changed out the wheel bearings.
I also replaced the steel lug nuts on the back with alum. lug nuts. they hold the sprocket on. The less weight your wheel has to turn the more power to your back tire. I got rid of the steel sprocket, steel lug nuts, I went with a lighter chain 520, the 530 stock chain was bigger as far as the links. I also run SeaFoam through the gas tank it helps get rid of carbon in your engine. Put the good gas in it and a good set of NGK spark plugs. old dirt plugs wont put off a good spark.
Not really alot my friend paced me on his gsxr and the speedometer on my bike was off by 5 mph compared to his bike. The bigger the sproket in the back slower you will get. The stunt sprokets like the size of your rim I believe you can only go like 60 mph in 6th gear. I only went down a tooth in the front and up 2 teeth in the back... that was a good combination for freeway wheelies. slow wheelies you want a bigger sproket. it gives you better control at slow speeds.
it was hard as hell getting it up in 2nd with the stock gearing. but I went to a 520 chain and down one in the front and up 2 in the back on the sprockets and it made a huge difference. I will post some videos of me on the f3 doing a staggered. Its a ton of fun once you get it down. once you get use to bringing the bike up and getting to the balancing point you will do it every time. you wont even have to think about it you will just do it. just bring the bike up nice and smooth each time.
The f3 I have the other plastics in the garage I just havent put them on yet. The f4i just needs a paint job. They both run like a bat out of hell though
Well Jdarkis on my f3 I have the stock sprockets and my wheelies are in 1st gear. The person driving was litteraly going 50mph so by the time I got it up my rpm's maxed out. I have recently put vortex sprockets on my f3( I went down 1 tooth in the front and up 2 teeth in the back) with the stock sprockets I couldnt clutch it up in 2nd at all, when I got the vortex sprockets I tried to clutch it in 2nd and the bike wheelied like butter. On top of that it was smooth going up.
I will post some videos of stand-up wheelies on my f3. But the best way to do it is change the sprockets, and do them in 2nd gear. The bike will come up smoother. When I do them on the freeway I perfer not to clutch it I usually just gas it.and give the bike a little bounce. I also perfer to accelerate before getting up on the wheelie, going from like 50 to 55. Instead of going 50 at a steady pace. The bike comes up smoother.
How long have you been riding wheelies. If your just learning I can give you some good pointers. That way you dont make the mistakes I did that scared the crap out of me. So just ask
I've had my bike for a few years and I'm thinking about changing the gearing. I can do first gear power and gentle clutch stuff but the bike doesn't want to do second with stock gearing. I want to get the bike so that it's more comfortable to try stand ups at a bit faster speed. First gear is pretty harsh and snappy so I have really left wheelies alone for the most part on this bike. I find the F3 is miles behind a bigger or FI bike in terms of wheelies. A 750 or 1000 will power in most gears :(
Go down 1 tooth in the front gear and up 2 teeth in the rear sprocket and 2nd gear wheelies will be smother and you can ride them faster and further. On my f4i I dont have to give the bike that much of a bounce but on my f3 I have to give it just a bit more of a bounce. I will post some videos soon of me doing wheelies on my f3 in 2nd. you wouldnt think changing a few teeth makes that much of a difference but it makes a big difference.
With the stock sprockets I tried everything to get it up in 2nd gear(did not happen). I got the Vortex sprockets of off Ebay, Put them on and went riding I just wanted to see the difference for my self. So I clutched it in 2nd and it popped a wheelie so smooth. I didnt even have to clutch it that hard. And that was just sitting down. When I stand up I just have to roll on the throttle bounce and the bike just rolls up on a wheelie.
that bike goes hard as hell bro!!!!

What's your gearing on the F3? You don't seem to be razzing it very hard to get it up at those speeds. How do you find stand-ups on the F3?
