I love her soft vocals way better than her "belting-trying-too-hard" vocals. There is no denying that she has an incredible voice, but at times, when she sings belting all the time, it borders on annoying (to me at least)... "Save Me From Myself" is the most incredible and brilliant song I've ever heard her sing. It should have been a #1, in my opinion. Thanks for posting this, I love to listen to her soft vocals.
@mtjproducer2008 when she doesn't sing people say she trying to be like gaga! if xtina isn't singing people don't want to buy her stuff. (btw listen to castle walls, tell me, save me from myself(back to basics), all i need(bionic album) ... just a few of her soft songs.
yehh i think her gift is tuning into her natural voice where she doesnt go overboard and just sings in her lovley voice soemtimes less is more love her voice
I love her softer vocals! Personally, I think she should sing like this all of the time because her vocals sound more natural. That's just my opinion.
you don't have to go to her videos if you don't like her "painful attempts" at sustaining an E5 or higher. But then again, you choose to go to them. So I guess you like them.
ha, WRONG! Women also have a head voice that is DISCONNECTED (falsetto) just as men do. Christina's "whistle notes" are really just high falsetto, there is no connectivity within that range. She is squealing high in falsetto and [trying] to control it.
They say women have head voice ( and whistle for those who can) not falsetto. To me, that's all techmnical stuff that is unecessariy confusing. Why can't we call it all falsetto?
No. Disconnected = falsetto. Same principle, just a different name. "Whistles" are falsetto...they aren't connected to the rest of your vocal range. It is an unnatural extension of one's voice. That is why they should NOT be included in a singer's range, unless they can REALLY REALLY vocalize in it. Almost anyone can land a pitch in the "whistle range" though. It doesn't mean you have a high vocal range. Singing high notes in full voice = a high range.
lots of people say that christina aguilera just shouts but that shows that they havent really listened to her. they dont understand that it is just belting.
thanks.she's my(and many other's)all time favourite singer. She has almost everything you ever wanted in a female singer.I tried my best to squeeze in most her soft singing into a 10 minute video. There are certainly loads more of these.
@xxoxxemmaxoxx I don't even like Christina that much but if what she's doing is shouting, it's the best, most powerful and most beautiful shouting ever!
her most relaxed, sweet sounding song is I'm a Good Girl from Burlesque. I didnt believe it was her singing.

Thank you. I wish someone would tell her that so she can spare us her painful attempts at sustain an E5 or higher.
