Thank you Michael for all your work. Don't pay attention to people complaining about this or that we all have to watch carbohydrates, no matter what. Your recipes are great, keep them coming. I am the master of my ship so I can and will decide whats best for me to eat.
@leanbodylifestyle It's true unless you are trying to bulk and put on mass then you need that 1.5 grams of protien per pound of bodyweight but its called leanbodylifestyle were your vids are mostly about lean muscle and weight loss. Keep it up love the vids I am down 30 pds and its because of some of your recipes.
I've made this before but instead of the tahini I add a tablespoon of natural peanut butter. It does add to the calorie count, but also up's the protein (for people concerned about it containing too little ;) and it gives it a nuttier taste - closer to actual hummus.
I recently made a decision to lower the amount of meat that I eat. I used to eat chicken twice a day, beef 2 or 3 times a week, lamb once a week, tuna 3 to 5 times a week... I replaced a lot of the red meat with beans. They have protein, carbs and fibre. Also eating more quinoa. Also, I eat a whole egg once every other day. My other sources of protein are whey, and dairy sources like cottage cheese and greek yogurt. The fibre from beans at first was a bit much for me to handle, but fine now
I agree. Snacks don't need to be high protein all the time. I think the variety and taste of foods like hummus is healthy and necessary. And if you eat several meals a day, then smaller healthy meals and snacks is the way to go. Great job Michael!
its unique imo. tasty, but depending on how much of the extra stuff like garlic/herbs and whatever you put in, mainly determines how it will taste.. chickpeas by themselves taste a bit shit :P
Great vid. I eat Hummus all the time, it goes with so much. My favourite is Tuna/Hummus sandwich (Wholewheat bread of course), real tasty and fills you up real good.
Just a tip: adding about 3 tbsp ofTehina/Tahini (sesame paste) makes it smoother and it usually tastes better :) and it's also a really good dip by itself.
@leanbodylifestyle I think that's a big misconception. People think they need to have this huge amount of protein. Unless they're trying to put on tons of mass (which is almost impossible for people on low calorie diets) they really can't use all that protein.

Michael, what protein powder do you use, the chocolate one?
PS. Snacks are perfect, don't worry about people saying they aren't high enough in protein.
