I've been told that there aren't any decent videos of beimo from that time. Seems awfully convenient, right?
There are many WSL people who believe whole-heartedly in the stories and feed them to their students as if to gleem some sort of reflected glory. There are also many who don't care for stories and who travel to find their own experience and understanding in the martial art.
I think the proof you're looking for comes from honest and dedicated training.
moy4you, i think the concept of your chi sao is a bit different from wsl lineage. its not right or wrong its just different. well u see, no matter how u look at it, chi sao intended to develop a specific skill or atribute. so you can adjust your chi sao drill to suit your needs. firstly we probably used chi sao as sensivity drill etc. but in advance you maybe need to work on other skill&attribute. apply the lat sau jic chung principle, get used to fighting environtment. anyway nice chisao.peace
To fast for Jip Sau / Jau Sau " giving and receiving pressure ". No "touch and go for chi sau . To much looking at one's self when working out " trust your hands. Receiving pressure
chi sau is up-rooting, angling like on the jung, angling trapping from that angle then using Loi Lau heue Sung."What comes in,retain; what goes,Send off.
When playing chi sau there's no set number of times that you must roll. Within the roll each person's hand is giving and receiving pressure, feeling for a gap to capitalise on. If there's no gap then you have to make the gap - Jerry's really good at doing that :)
this will kill in real life! WSL rules,

Speed,,,,,pure speed, no skill involve, I bet you the bold guy have may be 6 months to a year top,,,,experience,,,,,
you are using fast against slow, and using both hand against one,,,,
Have you heard of 頂掌???
Ginger should be more spicy when they get old,,,in other word, Senior people should use slower speed and less hand movement to solve the problem.

you don't have to go Doi Yeng all the time.
Anyone can goe's Doi Yeng until lthey meet an on coming unstoppable burst of energy a really big person that can take a Yat Chi Kuen .
I wounder If the Sifu needs to stand away and let the two Si Dai 's with same some or some what the same level play .
