@61SGman They used the JMP "Plexi" most of the time... they cranked the volume to get a very nice overdriven sound, but it would be too loud to do that in a bedroom and it's not good for the tubes. You can basically crank every tube amp to get a more or less similar sound. But they changed their sound and equipment various times.
