hey sweetie that looks good but u need to work on ur moves, love the smile and try to focus more on the "belly" dancing than the hand turns, over all it was a good preformance from a 9 year old keep working on it and u will have a bright future as a belly dancer !!!
One more thing I forgot to mention though, There are a lot of moves that shouldn't be in a belly dance. Just work on focusing with simply belly dancing...Not a drill team type of move , but good job

she's good for a 9 year old white kid, but i've noticed that when "european-americans" try to learn belly dancing, they focus too much on "OMG what move am i supposed to do next" instead of letting the music guide them. belly dance isn't about a prepared set of moves - it's the way the music moves you.

I think Hannah is a very talented dancer. Her smile is beautiful and she knows the moves very well. However at the age of 9 I would prefer to see her parents dress her in more age appropriate costume. Little girls do not wear costumes like this. Belly dancing is not for the amusement of other people, it was invented by MEN for their own entertainment. Its about the beautiful art of belly dancing not what people want/can see. belly dancing is about the movement of your belly so how could anyone see what your doing if you have a full piece on?

I think belly dancing is great for kids to learn along with Mommy! My 3 year old is even enjoying it with me while I am using it for a good pregnancy work out!

OMFG Wow...I am just amazed by some of the comments posted on this lil girl's performance and body size. SHE'S 9!! Seriously, what have we come to? Adults telling children who are a perfectly normal size, they are FAT? My god you people are sick. No wonder so many teens go through depression and eating disorders. And just so all you idiots know, belly dance is not a sexual dance. Orginally, women only danced for other women and men for men. Some ppl can make something sexual out of anything.

No bellydance isn't sexual nor suggestive. Read up on your history on how and why bellydance was created. I'll enlighten you a bit, but I'm limited to the "character count". It was created by women for women in Ancient Egypt to aid the pains of pregnancy. It was also used as a dancing ritual to celebrate the birth and life a woman can create. Egypt was very matrilineal. But over centries the meaning behind it has changed for something lewd... and I blame men.

she's good for a 9 year old white kid, but i've noticed that when "european-americans" try to learn belly dancing, they focus too much on "OMG what move am i supposed to do next" instead of letting the music guide them. belly dance isn't about a prepared set of moves - it's the way the music moves you.

I think Hannah is a very talented dancer. Her smile is beautiful and she knows the moves very well. However at the age of 9 I would prefer to see her parents dress her in more age appropriate costume. Little girls do not wear costumes like this. It reminds me of the beauty contests that little girls participate in and are forced to dress like adults. Let them be little girls.

Wow, she looks great! I love the stage presence and the way her hips move in such a controlled way. A lot of young dancers (and I mean even dancers in their 20's) don't have that finesse about their hip movements. Lovely!

i take belly dance classes that is hard shes moving her body good but shes not really moving it to the pace of the song especially with the hip sways but either way woot! her fer her she did great =D
