Hey IndyMogul - how far away do I have to set the lighting gels away from my lighting? (or, what is the maximum heat that these things will withstand?)

Gels will take quite a bit. If your lights have barn doors then just use some C-47's to clip the gel right to the barn doors. If not you can clip them to the light (there's usually some sort of housing around the bulb) just make sure there is some ventilation between the bulb and the gel to help keep the heat down so you don't melt the gel.

I should also mention that if you watch the Advanced Lighting Part 2 video somewhere around 2min15sec there is a shot of a gel attached to a light that might help you out.

And I know the question was directed at IndyMogul, I'm just bored......real bored....
