Spica scooting

i was in a pavlik harness when i was a baby. probably should have been in a spica cast since i ended up needing my first reconstructive surgery at 12 yrs old and then the second and third when i was 20 and 21. just make sure you keep an eye on her gait as she grows. any signs of limping for no reason, get it checked immediately. saltar and ganz osteotomies are most definitely NOT fun.

Aww she is gorgeous. My little girl had the same problem, but she never moved in her spica,lol. Even once she was in her rhino brace it took her about 3 month to move in it and learn to walk.

omgpoor thing..how did this happen?? how does she go to the BR?

She's fine - it's hip dyplasia. She has to be immobilized for a few months so her hip can grow correctly. There is a hole in the bottom of the cast for diapering.
