@bestmoviesever1 And what movie might that have been? If it was some fly by night Pilates exercise video, that doesn't count. Not to mention that was almost a YEAR ago. Most people don't even have or use a VHS player any more. For all intents and purposes, the format is dead and has been for a VERY long time.
In 1980, a single head, top load VCR was $1,000.00. Came with a wired remote, with two buttons. One button would change the channels, and the other was a switch to stop or pause the tape. I'm a big fan of the PBA (Professional Bowlers Association). The only reason I bought it, is to not miss the saturday ABC Sports PBA show.
Hey, if you want to spend all the time downloading 20-40 gigs of data just to watch ONE movie (yes, that's the ONLY way to get Blu-ray quality from a download - those 1080p low bitrate crapfests you call HD aren't even close), then go for it. the rest of us will just pop down ot the store, buy the movie, and be watching it the same night while you wait a week for your download to finish. We laugh at morons like YOU because you're too dumb to realize the shit quality you're downloading.
If he is, he's a terribly illiterate 30 year old and should spend less time on the XBox and more time going back to school to learn English and proper communication skills.
First off, if you are going to engage someone in a dialogue, know how to speak the fucking language first.
Now one look at your fucking sorry ass ugly channel told me everything I needed to know about you....you're an old fucking fanboy. The only thing sadder than a young fanboy is an old fanboy. Kids are supposed to stupid, so what's your excuse.
Now on to your point about downloading Blu-rays for free on the PS3 browser.
The PS3 browser can't even play GameTrailers HD properly. The video codecs that are installed on the console are old. You can't even play MOV trailers on the PS3, let alone an MKV file.
And you damn sure can't run bitorrent or unrar files unless you install a different OS which is a pain in the ass and will most likely brick your PS3 anyway.
I feel a bit sorry for HD DVD after watching th pie-charts though. Even if they were always behind they had a respectable share. Not much you can do when so many big name companies stop supporting you though.
Not only are the players becoming cheaper but the Blu-ray movies are becoming cheaper. New releases of blu ray are now really close to 2-disc special edition new releases. Also there are so many sales for blu-ray movies now that you can find very good prices now.
Yep, that's what I've been hearing too. I originally said sub-100 dollars by Christmas this year, but now I'm hearing it might happen a LOT sooner than that.
It depends how you look at the sales, but yeah - it's fluctuated between 13-16% this year. Which is excellent, given that we're barely a year out of the format war. The overall adoption rate is already much higher than it was for DVD in the same timeframe.
ZARANYZERAK, thank you for giving a simple look at a complex business world. Would you ever do a dare if another format comes and you pay the new format player at its most expensive?
I think a big reason blu-ray won was because of the PS3 having a built in player.

It almost remembers you of Sega's 32x!
It didn't sell well so it became cheaper and cheaper and.. cheaper and.. it still didn't sell that good.
Ah Strange times but they always repeat!

It just starts out "PRICE." That's like IShatOnU's review of District 9. The rest of the rant, MUCH MORE DETAIL!
bheemabachus 1 year ago
@bheemabachus Um...okay. This video was also shot and originally posted over a year before District 9 even came out.
Zaranyzerak 1 year ago
@Zaranyzerak I know. ISOU's review of D9 was only a second. That's just what it reminded me of, and that made me laugh.

Oh, and piracy's illegal, moron. Most of us actually like to SUPPORT the industry that provides us with the entertainment we love.

Ah, okay. So he's actually just one of those "I'm jealous that everyone else got Blu-ray except me" people. Makes sense.
