@nospeakamericano97 Just wondering what the Gen 1 is. I have been installing Gen 2's for the past 5 years for Otis in Seattle. I do believe you are talking about the Gem. The Gen 2 replaced the Gem.

I see what you mean about the fixtures being kind of cheap. The European-Style ones are better in my opinion. Other than that, these are VERY nice!

I think all of the elevator companies should stop making hydraulic elevators, and go over to MRL elevators.

That's a nice elevator. Gen2s are not as common as you'd think they would be. It's unfortunate. They still sell a lot of hydraulic elevators despite machine-roomless models being available.

You're right on that part. However there's a museum that opened up a couple of weeks ago here and they have an Otis. I'll film it to see if it's a hydraulic or a MRL traction.

I have a request. If you could go back there and get a shot of the voice recording for EACH floor (this is my favorite Otis voice) then that would be great. I would go back to Danbury Hospital and do it myself but it's too far away. :(

But since you have them in your area then it would be awesome if you could do that for me. Great video here though!
