the nascar sprint cup series is way more exciting. bigger tracks, bigger stands. i actually went to the talladega race and its 2.66 miles, biggest track in the nascar circuit
i use to watch alot of cascar on tv and they would go wide open and rough but it seems like there scared to wreck when they come to riverside cause it costs them so much to get here but the pro stocks deffintly put on a better show
Both series are awesome, this definitely does not suck. It's pretty much the same actually except the cars look a bit different, but the on track excitement is pretty much the same.
This series is a joke. There's no passing. Cars are under powered for there weight. The tour gets around here in 14.2 -14.3's for qualifying. The PASS tour is 13.5-13-7's but these guys at 14.8's-15.2 come on now and u have to use the front bumper to pass. The Late model sportsmen are quicker at Riverside.....
On top of that series also has a lousy car count. It kinda of hard to put on a good race with 20 cars. Look at the counts they've gotten this year. 17 I believe BC 19 in Saskatoon. If it not in Ontario the count is lousy.
If they changed there package to a super-late model they would get 30-35 cars at every track they go to or switch Busch North car. This car unique this this series. You can't go to Iowa or Florida with it. You can with a late model. Switch the car to get it in line with other racing series out there and get the car count up.
They come here and no one on the tour except Donald in the race and the only reason Donald is in it is cause daddy owns the track. So where's Tucker? Flemming? Turple? Smith? and Rollie's got more money then he knows what to do with and he's not in it . At least the tour is averaging 30 cars at most races this year and there was 40 there for the IWK 250.
Also anyone who's been to Riverside knows the "BIG ONE" happens and usually takes 10 cars with it. So if they wreck on lap 50 that takes 1/2 the field with them. What type of race you going to have for the remaining 250 laps? On top of that there's really only 4 or 5 teams that really have a chance each week to win. I went to the 2007 edition of this race and almost fell asleep.
Went to the one they had a Fredericton a few years back when it was CASCAR and it was follow the leader. Last year went to Beech Ridge for the PASS 300 race instead.

What a great race! I'm actually a close friend of Don Thomson Jr. and I have to say he did a fantastic job winning this race!
